The problem with using a 'signed for' service is that it can't be sent to the freepost address. According to the Envirfone website, and 'registered' deliveries should go to:

Envirofone c/o Eazyfone Ltd
Newbridge House
Henderson Street
Macclesfield
Cheshire
SK11 6RA

This means you have to pay the full P&P costs.

Personally, I find that recorded is no more reliable than standard first / second class service, and the insurance levels are exactly the same whether it is recorded or not. Instead of paying the extra for Recorded delivery, obtain a free proof of posting as this will cover you just as well as your recorded slip should you need to make a claim.

Just to say that iecuk s correct. Recorded delivery is not actually 'tracked' by the Royal Mail anymore. If you go to a post office with your item, they will put the sticker on but they don't actually record it in a book or anything. You are paying for peace of mind, when the reality is its the same as first class. Only Special Delivery is recorded by the post office in a book and then tracked.

Indeed, I usually just post as normal and then ask post master for a Certificate of Posting which is a card they stamp with the addressee so if it does go missing when you put a claim into the Royal Mail, they'll be able to confirm you're not trying to pull a fast one.

Worse thing was I put it in work's internal post...... Who do I blame? Does anyone know if I can get in touch with RM for any kind of compo - I know it's a bit lame but that phone should of got me £58 in Argos vouchers

I wrote the address at the side of the main sticker as I was fully expecting to have to pay the full postage costs - but as I said got the discount and paid just the recorded bit. Thought it was strange at the time but the cashier seemed sure it was the way to do it and it worked for me.

I always like to send nearly everything recorded - just for peace of mind knowing someone has to sign for it.

Im up late and as yet no creds to the ecard just checked - will check again in the morning.

I have currently been looking at all the feedback on Moneysavingexpert.com and i have seen your feedback which you have left regarding your payment.

I would just like to confirm that i have sent the request to Argos to credit your ecard and once your card has been credited you will receive a confirmation email so you will then be able to go into any Argos store nationwide to use your ecard.

I sent my phone last thursday to mopay and recieved my cheque for £49.50 for my phone today.
They said it was grade B stock which was right the Grade A price was £55.

Highly recommend their service.

You say they are great did you get paid the and if you did what was the time scale Nads. Im still waiting but I guess theyre very busy at the mo but it does seem quite a long time since I sent it.
