HI,
If you're going to get less than £32 from envirofone, get a certificate of posting.
If it's going to be more then you might want to consider cheapest special delivery option.
Recorded isn't worth it as the maximum compensation is £32 same as normal 1st class.0 -
Just signed up too but am a bit dubious nevertheless. My phone was working fine but what if they make an excuse and don't stump up the cash.....or would you say they are reliable?

Hopefully £40.89 in cash is coming my way!

Here's what envirofone say about "what to send" in their FAQ:
"When you trade in your mobile phone we can also recycle or re-use all the accessories, chargers, manuals and packaging. If you still have them, put them in the envelope with your mobile when you send it in."

I sent my phone complete with everything. It would not fit in the jiffy bag supplied by envirofone. I just bought some brown paper from WH Smith. I wrapped up the box and put "Freepost envirofone" on it. I took it to the post office. I requested a proof of posting certificate.0 -

If they find the phone is faulty (whether genuine or fobbing you off), they will contact you and either offer to give you a lesser value or they will send it back to you by special delivery so you'll not be out of pocket. But to be honest, they are a very genuine company from the experiences that I've had with them.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -

I just did the same last night, will let everyone know how it goes.
As Jason said, they are a genuine company otherwise there would be a lot more negative posts on here!
For piece of mind just before you to put the phone in the envelope to check that it does power up and also that it does charge. Charging isn't a pre-req but it will show that there are no power issues!0 -
envirophone are great... made so much money from them hehehe0

Hi folks,
Just to say that as this has been so popular. Im now researching a full detailed article comparing the different options (yes including eBay), some of the environmental impacts, a comparison of the sites mentioned (and more), and what to do with non-working phones.
It should be on the site in a few weeks
