I notice that since this thread some phones hace absoloutly plummeted in 2 weeks even! The v1050 plummeted from (800 points) £94 cash to £16.92 cash(144 points) within 2 weeks. I re checked as i sent mine back nearly a day too late and nearly had a heart attack. Thankfully they upheld price as i rung them. But just to warn you how quick and how huge the drop can be.0

Yes I have to say I did notice a price drop for the phone I sent in, It was partly my fault as it took me about a month to get round to sending it etc but it dropped by about £10!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650

I sent a phone to envirofone the other day. I took it to the post office to get a certificate of posting. The woman said "is there a phone in there?", I said yes, she said "does it have a battery in it?", I said yes. She said you can't send it like that because it messes up the machinery or something! So I had to take the battery out and send it loose in the bag.
I've never heard anything like that before but in future I'm just going to send it loose to avoid the hassle. (Envirofone accepted it no problem).0 -

The Mopay website doesn't seem to work very well at the moment... calculations always seem to be wrong etc.
I have found that http://www.recyclemymobile.co.uk/ seems to have the best prices for the Nokia phones I am trying to get rid of. Worth a try before you sell to anyone else, I asked for a quote yesterday evening and they replied first thing this morning.0 -

I think in part it's because they always give 10% of the phones value to a charity and you don't know about it until you get your cheque!
envirofone is more clear cut, if your phone is in immaculate condition, with battery they've give you the price they quote.
As you can tell by now I think envirofone is the best! - only thing I don't like is the layout of the website but that's jsut nitpicking.0 -

New to me too, I actually sold a brand new phone recently and on the way to the post office I kept hearing somethign, thinking it was my own phone. I only realised once I'd left the post office I've left the phone on! doh!
Nothing seems to have happened as the buyer never told me the phone isn't working.
A phone that is off will not cause any problems.0 -

I don't agree with this it clearly says about the 10% to charity on the first screen on the mopay website and it shows it on the final screen as well.
To get the price for your phone you need to select the grade/condition and then press confirm and it update the price.
I've used mopay several times and i can't fault them the cheques are sent out quickly.

Hi,
I'm not sure what happened to my phone then. I sent a Motorola C115 brand new, with the sticky label still on the front screen and received the price mentioned minus 10%.
Cheque wise, totally agree they are very fast.0
