well I had my interview today - it seemed to go okay but who knows.... Should find out if I am thro to next stage by end of the week!

Just rung a company about selling my car for scrap - looks like it might only be £85 not the £100 they said the other week but I am waiting for them to call back now...

Then ideally I need to get the windscreen chips sorted in OH's car before we trade it in.

I also need to get a quote on my new car for insurance purposes....

Hope you are all having a good day!

SH, just read your diary. It is very inspirational.

I am going to be finishing a contract job next week Thursday. I have had two interviews in the last couple of weeks for one temp role and one permanent. Did not get either one. I was a bit down on Friday but picked myself up after reading the boards.

After reading your diary yesterday, I decided to do some of the things that seem to work for you, like make my CV searchable. I had a call from an agency this afternoon about a role in the same borough that I am working in and great money as well. Trying not to get my hopes up to much but it is a role I can do with my eyes closed.

I have decided to be positive.

Just wanted to wish you luck on the job front and hope you are in work soon.

Thanks BB. The interview I went to today which is potentially a decent salary plus car if I get it - I got purely due to having made my CV searchable. another respectable agency has rung me today with a possible job so I need to ring them back too.

I've also developed a profiled on linkedin a professional networking site - complete with testimonials from previous colleagues - I am hoping that that might also help me.

I'm pleased you found it inspirational! :T Sometimes it feels quite hellish this end... sometimes on a nice sunny day it can be quite nice being off....especially if the kids are at school!;) I am so grateful thought that we took early action last July to start clearing off our debt and building an emergency fund... we would be up the creek without a paddle otherwise...

Hope you manage to get your next role soon! Keep cheerful and positive so you come across well!

    Hi SH,

Good news on the car! Are you getting the chips fixed through your insurance? It's usually free I think!

Well off to finish cleaning the bathroom, CBA!

Having a bit of a weird week.

Overslept this morning - woke up at 8.30. Had to whizz out of bed, minimal wash, get dressed extra fast, drop the kids at school by car - come home pick up insurance docs and whizz to windscreen place. Agreed to fix chips in windscreen on insurance - no excess payable. Walked to hairdressers from autoglass - got cut (only colour the other day as not enough time) - walked to bank to move money for car - walked back to autoglass - picked up car - drove to friend's house. Took friend to pub for lunch (she's got cancer so it is a little treat for her). Dropped her home. Emptied car. Set off to collect new brum brum - drove 25 miles only to be rung up to be told car not ready yet so had to put extra petrol in and come home.!

Not getting car until Thursday now gutted!
