Just need to check out my limit - which I don't think is as high as I need it to be.... Done that - it isn't and they won't increase it - how annoying! The transfer fee is only 2.5% tho which is pretty good! Still need to find a card to take about another £3K then at a cheap rate!
Also looked at the umbrella club figs and Tues job comes out on top above Thurs interview no 2 - however because the travel is further that probably balances out. If I don't get Thurs mega bucks job - I might therefore stick with Tues job until I get a perm offer... Watch this space!
Have a good day.... Off to put my birthday money in the bank!
Glad you got a 0% offer through as well. My limit wasn't high enough to take all my debt either but I figured it was better to take most of it out of the huge 34.9% that Virgin imposed this month!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Well today need to get ready for DS to go away to camp and DD to go away to MIL's - can feel lots of washing and poss even some ironing coming on. Will be kid free from tomorrow night thro to Fri pm! Woohoo!
Dinner's almost ready. Cooked it last night - chicken in red wine... if the kids turn their noses up - more for us. I did throw in lentils and cannelini beans SC would be proud!
We are reorganising our house at the mo - trying to get things a bit straighter! We are going to buy DS a new storage system for his bedroom - £50 odd tho from ikea but it matches one already in his room. Hope they still do it!
OH has mown the lawn - he is in the good books!

Enjoy the garden! I need to now tackle the washing pile.
Managed to get a nice hairdrier for £10 in the Argos sale so chuffed with that.... I snook home a few petunias and some granite table mats too!
Kids are actually outside in the fresh air - major miracle. My fish need topping up in their little pond... might give the kids that task they will probably enjoy that...

Have a good night x0 -
Hi Swinstie -yep the meal was nice and enough left for another day too! Done about 4 lots of washing so far - all still needs sorting, some still needs drying. Both kids away for 4 nights and completely unprepared! Just had to wash DS's sleeping bag and dressing gown too! I can't wait LOL! Shame I will be too busy working to fully enjoy the relatively empty house!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks for asking
Oh well first day had me up at 5am and out for about 6.30am and at site for around 7.40 am! Left at 5.30pm!!! Not impressed by that - should have left 45 mins earlier but stuck in a meeting! It was basically an exhausting day - only near home about 6.40pm!! On top of that (whinge, whinge, whinge) my nails broke over the weekend so as soon as I got near home I went into the beauty salon to try and get them taken off and got a refund. I got an 80% refund!
Best bit of day - carvery with OH (£10.40) - only just back now so you can see very long day....
People are nice at job - but not sure if I can stick the journey (and hours) long term!
Hope you are all okay!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
