    You're not wrong MrsC!

It is the wrong time of the month as well which adds to the exhaustion and sense of strangeness.... It is also a site that is about 3 times as big as my last one and unfortunately is very bureaucratic which I don't have a lot of patience for.

I've also found out that 2 people that I have had run ins with (that I felt bullied by) in previous jobs work for the organisation - I am hoping that they don't impact me. One is quite senior and one junior... Neither are in the same place as me... but they are in the same function...

I am trying to hold onto how much I am paid by the hour and day to get me thro at the mo.... Wanted to walk out lunchtime (which isn't like me) just felt like I had made a horrible mistake in taking the role. Hopefully as you say things will settle down...

I think part of the problem is I am struggling to identify what I will be doing. Things that were in the job desc seem to be other people's roles now - and altho I will have project work to do - there is no clear date as to when the project will start. I can do initial prep work - but then if the start gets delayed it could all get a bit awkward! I am also taking over from what someone else has started which can also be hard... Prefer to do from scratch!

aarrghh just typed a long post then pressed the wrong button and lost it....

anyway - the basis of the post was to say how you get on with the job will depend on how you DECIDE to get on with it. Choose what you let affect you, and choose what you are going to let go right over your head.

I was bullied for many years at work, and I regularly see the chap in the street....because I now choose not to let him bother me, I can go up to him, kiss him on both cheeks, and say "oh daaarlink, how wonderful to see you, you look sooo well, mwah, mwah" before walking away with my back straight and my head held high muttering "!!!!!!" under my breath......:D

Awww SH, keep your chin up. Like mrscmr says, give it a couple of week and then see how you feel.

Fingers crossed for the interview pending next week, i'm sure you'll be fine to have a little time off. We all have lives on top of work so i'm sure employers will be fine ;)

Thanks hypno for taking the time to respond! Hopefully next week things will improve (handover will be over - person will physically have moved on - hopefully I will get given clear things to do). Not sat down with my boss yet which I also think is really poor! I would prioritise a new starter in her position - she said she would prioritise me prior to my start!!!

    Karen - thanks too!

Well - another day, another dollar as they say.

OH is off next week as the kids are still off school. I am going to ask for a day off then too (and go to my interview).

Hope today goes better - feel really tired. I am slowly going to bed earlier but probably not yet early enough! Hope you all have a good day!

Hope today goes well - and keep thinking of the money if it helps. I think - when at the pooint of screaming, drafting resignation letter - anybody can put up with ... insert word... for x weeks (then I hope I have something nice to add). Hope interview next week goes well - and it is really positve you are generating interest and interviews!

    Good luck,
    Maggie
