Well it took me all morning but local job duly applied for. Was trying to "dumb down" my experience while still coming across as having enough experience for the role.... hmmmmmAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good luck with the job - hope the local one works for you - I think one of the main issues with the last job is that you didn't get enough family time - you really can't put a price-tag on that. As long as you can manage - would it be the end of the world if the debts took slightly longer to beat. You can't regain the time of the kids being littlies and my slant on things was summed up by dd asking what time you would be in.
Its all very exciting in the SH camp at the mo. Sounds like the knee is improving a lot and weight loss will help even more.
See you CAN do magic - vanishing debts - vanishing travelling time annnndddd a vanishing SH LOL

thanks milan that is really positive
my knee is a lot better now down to just ibuprofen and perhaps one lot of cocodamol a day. I am still keeping driving to a minimum for now though but am doing well going up and down stairs and walking fairly normally. I am also trying to improve my fitness but gently with some of the wii fit balance games and things....
If I do manage to continue to lose weight that would be good... currently around 15st 8lb altho it fluctuates depending on what time I weigh myself... When I was aroudn 14st 10 a few years a go I bought a beautiful kind dusky sea blue green long skirt with a similar corseted top with kind of golds and browns in it.... If I could manage to get down to that - that would be fab - then would need to find an occasion to wear it to tho! I then have 2 other fab outfits which would fit me if I lost a few more stone after that too.... I have held onto them as they have only been worn once or twice and they are a positive incentive to lose the weight....!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

well shut down my isa today releasing £1406 into the debt repayment pot. Paid £1010 off my barclaycard which should hopefully cover any interest from this month. Also paid some normal minimum payments so debts now less than £12K including car but no savings cushion anymore. EEK
OH's virgin card tho is doing an offer where purchases can be at 0.9% for 6 months so planning to put motorcycle parts on it and car insurance when it is due. Will probably do that at least while awaiting child tax credit refund
Read Nicky Hambleton Jones book Top to toe - quite inspiring and beautifully laid out. I got it and about 5 other books from the library.
Got loads of lamb for £10 today - so used nearly half of it for tea - very expensive I know - but got a small leg of lamb left for another day which I should probably freeze. Other than that spent less than £1Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi SH best wishes for the job applications.
Are you still having stomach problems, Ibuprofen is a NSAID and a side effect can be stomach problems, do tell your doctor. When I was on them I had to have extra medication so I could use them.
Glad to hear the knee is less painful.
Hope you get into that outfit again soon, it sounds super.0 -
Yea, se999 has mae a very good point that NSAIDs are bad fr your stomach, ALWAYS make sure you have eaten before you take them (hard when you're trying to lose weight I know!) but speak to your doc as he may prescribe something to help improve your stomach acidity etc to help you along. I always forget to take my NSAIDs (slap my wrist) but my brother is on long term NSAIDs for his knee and he has to take heartburn meds to allow him to get the daily dose of his tablets.
Fab congrats on sub 12k, once it's under 10 it will seem even more do-able!!!0
