It's all beginning to sound more interesting than working 15hrs behind a till!:T
OH didn't scan the docs I asked for yet so need to wait for that before I can finalise my application....
Is there any reason you can't scan them in yourself? Just wondering if this might be one of those "excuses not to act on your dreams"...?;)

Yeah think it could be a lot more interesting than till work.... worth a shot at least....

Our scanner is linked to OH's pc (to which I don't currently have the password). He doesn't think it is good enough to scan my certs with so says will do from work....

Have just paid another £263 off but will need to transfer savings to pay for it. Ideally want to pay the other £1K left on my barclaycard too but again need to transfer savings first. Don't think I can remember my pin so may need to order new pin and wait for pin to arrive to make the final payment. Doing this will reduce my minimum payments by £30 but my actual payments by £100 a month which will be good....

My minimum payments will be £205 a month once I've paid my barclaycard off. This will drop from July to £165 per month. It is going in the right direction.

Glad your payments will be going down. Leave yourself enough in savings though to cover yourselves if your new job/s take(s) a bit of time tomaterialize.

  • Not much to improve on there SH! You look like you're pretty sorted on everything. You know any income from bingo, scratchies, quidco etc, do you include that anywhere? I reckon as a not very dedicated free bingo site type person, I average about £15 a month so minus your car stuff, you are about evens.

If absolutely necessary you might have to reduce the charity /church payments and child related stuff. And if push came to shove could shave a little off the groceries so you should be able to meet it all come hell or high water.

if worst did come to the worst and you had to drop your charity/ church payments as suggested above don't forget tithe-ing (sp?) includes your time as well as your money. when i couldn't afford to tithe i'd offer to help out in the youth club, make teas at the coffee morning, play taxi for some of the older members of the congregation etc.

I do the make £10 a day challenge - and on average succeed but some months it may only be £50 or £150 but regardless it is money I wouldn't otherwise have. That though needs to fund clothes, pressies and holidays and miscellaneous spends!

Yeah - I pay £21 a month for the rest of the school year for DS to learn guitar, DS gets £10 pocket money, DD £6 if she saves some - £4 otherwise and then she may want to do drama for a bit which is a bout £2 a lesson

This is one of the reasons I am youth worker - when my knee is okay I am also part of the worship band. We used to give about 4 x this so even this feels low. OH is not willing to go lower... I can understand why - 2 are child sponsorships and 1 is church itself....

My cleaner is still on top too - possibly should get her to leave again but I would rather focus on looking what I can do to earn money. At the moment I am still getting statutory sick pay - so not yet as tight as above.

OH has scanned in the docs for me for the freelance writer application. I now need to find a sample of my academic writing and then bundle it off and see how I get on from there.

I also need to follow up on the management consultancy who sent me a positive email yesterday... Who knows - things could be about to get exciting!

I am still reading "Making the big leap" for further inspiration. Yesterday from the library I also managed to get one of my favourite coaching books "Co-active coaching" - and now it comes with CD which was still attached amazingly with various forms and toolkits in which would be ideal if I do decide to set up my own business doing coaching (among other things).

I have a physio appointment today too - it will be interesting to hear his view on my knee. My NHS appointment is in about 3 weeks time so I may make this my last paid appointment as can't really afford it.

I still need to send sick notes off, input some expenses and input my final timesheet. Still waiting for some info from my boss....
