My physio is much happier with my progress today - and said to just contact him in a couple of weeks to either let him know how I am doing to to arrange another session. He has also given me some exercises to do - lunges and squats to improve the strength in my knee and to practice going up and down the stairs leading with my injured knee to improve confidence and strength.
I have contacted the management consultancy company with some suggested times to call and have contacted a trainee coach to see if I can get some coaching... Positive day so far!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

OH has just put petrol in our diesel car - luckily he realised after 4 litres and didn't start the engine. He is now calling the RAC.
Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best bit about it - at least it wasn't me! It is one of my repetitive fears.... Hopefully there will be lots of wind up potential for OH in future years LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

OH NO!!! What a pain, I always worry about it as well, my car is petrol but OH's is diesel and there is always that moment of self doubt (like walking to school on a non-uniform day when you're "quite sure it's mufti but not 100%!!!!).
Hope he's not too exhausted, and no long term damage?0 -
Hi csa - shouldn't be long term damage. I do think OH is exhausted but hopefully he is okay.
I have just been put forward for a job 20+ miles away, really good money at a great company -decent company and positive reputation - but probably still quite a negative role. It is only a temporary role tho. Still finding it hard to resist the lure of the known - and it would enable me to clear my debts within probably 12 months which would be great. As a transition plan it could work as once we were debt free we would be in a much better position to pursue our dreams.... at the same time don't want to keep perpetutating mistakes of the past.....
I have also been put forward for a role at a not for profit organisation about 15 miles again - a short term role.... okay money - not the best but good enough.....
Part of me is saying - it would make sense to take a role like that - I could clear our debts much more quickly etc - Also any business would take quite a while to set up and start making money so even the authors of the books I am reading would potential recommend it....
hmmmm...... Another part of me is running away screaming...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

 about the car - one of my worst fears!
I think you need to decide when you have been interviewed about the jobs, just go along and see how you feel about them afterwards. After all, is this just a stepping stone to your portfolio career?

I would be very tempted to take the job and get rid of the debt in a year, if you did that you can then persue your dream without any doubts. Dont do it though if you think it would really get you down, it would be no good if you make yourself ill in that year.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0
