Urgh ironing :T:T:T:T:T to you though , I havent ironed for weeks :rotfl:

sorry about the interview, but I agree with everyone else. it is screaming at you that its not the right job for you.
I know you need a job but dont compromise your sanity / family.

    (((hugs))) to you.
  • Hi Jellie and SC - and thanks again.

Didn't actually get round to the ironing - altho did sort thro ALL of DD's clothes. She's grown.... suddenly and trouser type things don't fit anymore... She always seems to barely grow at all and then suddenly seems an inch or more taller!

Belly dancing was okay - I was rubbish at it tho which was a little disheartening.

I went out with a friend after tho to the pub which was nice - but not mse as she asked me to pay as she was absolutely skint! She paid last time so it was fair enough really.... I really needed to get out.

Got a full on weird day tomorrow. Take DD to school. Take OH to work 15 miles away (his motorbike is in for a service) - preferably persuade him to take his bike so he can cycle home and get fit! Then drive about 50 miles in the opposite direction to take BZ to get an x-ray done and hopefully a physio/OT referral and some better equipment. Before racing back 40 miles to pick up DD.

I also need to try and renew our library books as I think they were overdue from today and otherwise I will end up with a big bill as we have loads out!! Must do it in the morning however as it shuts at 1pm!!

Only DS has put his clothes away so far from the piles I made - and even then that is only some of them! There are times when you wonder why you bother.

Did really well diet and fitness wise until I went out with my friend - then I added 600 calories!!!! Ouch which took me about 400 over target!!! Oh well tomorrow is another day!

Oh no!!! Hope it didnt happen too early in the honeymoon, hope its a prettier colour soon.
Thankfully the colour changes day to day... altho not always for the better... esp when my crutch slips and I end up automatically putting it on the floor to steady myself :( Oops!:o Thankfully it was at a stop off on our way home :o

I think you've come to the right decision about the job from the other day SH. I've never heard a good word about the place tbh...

Thanks Jellie - not found it yet tho - now have a splitting headache!

My owl electricity monitor arrived today - looking forward to trying it out when OH comes home... Need his help to set it up....

Six of the piles have now disappeared from the living room - so a bit of progress but not enough....

Monday's interview went well - typical -they are really interested - I've said I would only consider it if I could work from home Friday or something as the commute is too long. The hours would be 8.30-5! plus travel! The agency are going to come back to me. I think the client has interviewed the other candidates now but prefers me.... Moneywise - if they do compromise on the hours - it would be foolish to turn down!

Thanks beat the debt and CMD

I will see what happens... nothing else seems to be going anywhere at the mo!

Poor OH isn't home from his 15 mile trip from work yet - bless! I've cooked him chicken (translate quorn) korma and brown rice for tea

I don't fancy eating that myself tho - had tomoto soup and bread earlier.... Perhaps I will eat the rest of the salmon with jacket spud, tomatoes and spring onions later.... That could work

I think OH was thinking of going out tonight... hope he's not too shattered!

OH's motorbike went into the bike shop today to have its brakes fixed.... They were surprised that he had been managing to stop since one of the front brake calipers was broken. (Which I think translates as we were so very lucky he wasn't injured!) Unfortunately that means that the bike is still in the shop - and waiting for new brake parts.... It also means that it will be more expensive than expected as it isn't just pads that are required... We are hoping it doesn't mean that we have to write it off....

It is going to make the next few days even more manic... Tomorrow I have to sign on around 9.25pm - which means OH will have to drop DD at school while I walk 1-1.5 miles into town to sign on. Not my idea of the best start to a morning.

Then on Friday - it is going to be tricky again as I have a doctor's appointment at 9.20pm.... Luckily I think that was in partly on his way to work - so he will still need to take DD to school, drop me off part way to doctors - and then I will need to walk back - not sure how far but could be a few miles!!! Not sure I am up to it without a coffee break en route...! (I don't think there is anything like that on the route - I think there is a shop about a third of the way).... If the worst comes to the worst I might have to get a taxi but want to avoid that if I can.... My bike is broken so not really an option.... I also think I would find that much harder to do than walking!

    Hi all

Well OH got home about 7.10pm yesterday - shattered from his 16 mile ride home - some of which was uphill LOL. Strangely he didn't go back out again.... and is extremely grateful to have "my" car today!

I went to sign on and the Personal Adviser asked me all about what SHE would need to do to get into HR! Quite amusing! I didn't mind... nice that someone is interested and it was someone to chat to!!! Shows how lonely being off work can be.....

I went into Savers today looking for christmas presents, got a set of 10 eyeshadow applicators for 69p! That is brilliant and will be perfect for my little one to practice with. Quickies nail polish remover for about 59p. A maxfactor rose petal eyeshadow for £1 and Maxfactor silk glass sheer frost lip gloss for about £1.29 each - absolute bargain. 4 cosmetic sponges for £1.... That will go nicely with my DD and niece's present, plus a little basket for me.... LOL I even Impulse for 89p and a spot concealer stick for £1 for me with teatree in it.

Boots 3 for 2 offers were calling me but so far managed to resist - altho I have got a voucher for spend £50 online and get 500 points... I am considering giving it a go in a bit to see if it counts the £50 price as before the 3 for 2 is applied... In which case that would be a relative bargain.... Still shouldn't do it really as can't afford it....

When I got home, a freebie low spend package had arrived. I think I spent £2.99 on post and packing and got a bourjois rouge mediterranee lipstick, a bourjois rose a leau transparent lipgloss and a Miss Sporty lipstick.... My DD is 6 and is allergic to play makeup so I have been trying to get her the real thing in the hope she won't be allergic to it... She is going to have quite a selection to play with LOL.

On my walk home from town I discovered some beautiful woods and a brook I didn't know was there, plus a lovely painted mural under a bridge. May post piccies later. It just shows how much we miss when we a) go everywhere by car and b) stick to the same routes!

The job Monday really want me but have turned down homeworking. I have suggested that I work reduced hours and finish lunchtime instead then on a Friday... will see what they say....
