Thanks Lucielle and Jellie for popping along! Hello to all my lurkers - hope you are doing okay!
Got up extremely late today like an hour ago but I was shattered. I was trying to send a trolley online to Asda last night at 1am and it wouldn't work. Still won't work now so potentially going to have to step into temptation city and actually go in the shop LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

PS My big pension refund arrived today - which is an absolutely lifesaver, we would otherwise have been about £800 short this month, as it is it should help us survive a few more months even if I don't get a job yet....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Claire - thanks for posting
It is a big relief. The pension company wasn't sure if I would get it this month or next so potentially it was going to be a bit of a juggle otherwise. Hopefully if I don't get sucked into frittering my money or buying more than I should for xmas we should be able to stay out of new debt quite a while longer which would be fab! I contributed to the pension as a) I hoped the person I was covering wouldn't come back from maternity leave and that I would stay with the company and b) because it is enforced savings in an account where I couldn't touch it. As it is it is now available just when we need it most.
I was saying to my OH when I first set up this diary I thought my money would last until Sept, now I am hoping we might get thro to Jan/Feb next year before trouble really strikes... And that is despite being due a new set of tyres... By then we should also owe about £1.5K less than we do now which is amazing considering that is on one income plus savings!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Finally managed to send my order to Asda. £66 - so now if I can just resist going back for top ups that wouldn't be a bad grocery figure!
I think I will make spag bol for tea - have all the ingredients in the freezer I think and would be quite a cheap meal! I'll see if I have enough ingredients to make double as that would save work another day!
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. We are being very chilled. Only my DD is dressed LOL! I'm not sure the rest of us will bother today!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

PS I had a free delivery code too so that saved me £5 and my multibuys saved me £8.52 and swapping and saving on mysupermarket saved me about £2 as well! I have made enough for 2 days so will probably freeze one lot complete with pasta and that should make tea a bit easier another day.
My delivery is coming for between 7-9pm tomorrow so I may try and batch cook some things once the kids are in bed tomorrow too!
Well I suppose I really should start doing the washing........ esp as we are thinking of going out for a walk at a national trust property tomorrow after church! May go and see MIL too on way back as plan to drop DD at hers Monday for tea now appears to have been kyboshed... Not told her yet tho....
May get OH to ring her after all I have spoken to her yesterday and today - DD lost another front tooth so had to ring her nan to let her know - bless. Told her the tooth fairy might be on strike... MIL said perhaps she could manage 10p or something... DD normally gets a £1.... Probably still will!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
