That looks tons better than mine, think you might be right, the back of yours showing looks good because it is so dark. :T

Is it really chunky? Will you line it do you think?

I only had the one metre of fabric
I bought this fabric a couple of years back
the first 2.5 metres was fine the last metre
was all mis printed and rubbishy. It was an
odment bundle I picked up for a couple
of pounds used the good bit but had this
last metre under a load of stuff.
I used the full metre doing just this bit by my
reckoning its going to take around 4 or 5 metres
to make a bag.I dont have enough to do any more
but I reckon if I am out and about and spot some
cheap and chearful stuff I would give it a go.

I have just bought some amazing fabric
from the States on etsy. How cool is this..........

    DSC07438.jpg

I am going to make myself a bag
    fancied either dotty check fabric
to line it in black with red or white
dots of check just going to see what
looks best, cant wait for it to arrive.

I love that fabric. I've got some of those dolls in my kitchen

Hey Rose I never got on very well with mixing needles, trying to get the thick needle through the wool held on the thin needle was a real squeeze! So not sure if it would work for me with fabric, I'll certainly give it a try though, I like the idea of the finished piece being a bit stretchy.

gorgeous fabric by the way, have you ever been to superbuzzy.com? Thats my favourite fabric shop, loads of scrummy japanese style fabrics and lovely, lovely bag handles too!

I've just seen this thread. Poundland have some weaving looms in at the moments, so I might try weaving some rags together and sewing the pieces together.

    Great idea OP:)

mary 43 I have sent you a pm

good fairy that site has some lovely things
knitting with one large and one small
makes it very stretchy so you can put odd shaped
things in it,large football or you can store veg in
it and hang them up on a hook.

Does anyone remember the stuff that
used to come in large rolls or hanks
it was thick nylon yarn, dont know
    if it had a name.

I managed to get the Owl fabric I
have been looking for today so now
its the the planets fabric but I think
I will have to buy that online from
overseas as its a whopping £10.95
a metre here in the UK and only
$8.50 in the states.Whey do we
pay so much over here ?

why does cup cake stuff have
to be so expensive ? The fabric
    is really dear,although that one
is a bit more reasonable than
    some I have seen.
