Hey you, sounds like you're doing very well still! What a twit your ex is still being. He will so regret it later in life.
Good idea about your sister, you would have to check on the carer status but otherwise sounding a win-win situation?
So for now, get those ankles elevated and have an easy day of it when you can. Enjoy!0 -
hi honey just to say i have had the same trouble with ankles and a new one for me in the last few days, leaking!!!! oh the joys!! xxx0

spent today trying to convince my MIL that i'm seriously considering a home birth - told her i was replacing the lounge floor so would be perfect opportunity!!
not sure if she'll fall for it... they're all pretty uptight and i needed a laugh...
we should find out about the redundancy by friday... and i wouldnt have to go in to work for the consultation month... so really praying this is going to happen for me! been struggling with the travelling into work in the heat... costing me a fortune in bus tickets cos the walk home is excrutiating!:male:Alfie Sidney born 29th August 2009:male:0 -
again i know what you mean... im finding travelling to and from work such hard work.. its up hill to a bus stop but the hill is worse on the way back. ive been getting the odd lift home from someone at work, or waiting an extra 20 mins for hubby to come and get me or, just taking the day as holiday, like today!! i thought id walk into town and have a look round the shops, and see friends etc, but again because of the damn hill, i stayed at home!! sorry for the rant!! xxx0

Hi Fitz, glad to hear the childminding is going according to plan.
Please think carefully about getting the dog. Why not wait until you settle in with Alfie first? You have an awful lot going on at the moment and you don't want to end up spread too thin. You will need to look after yourself really well especially in the exciting (but very tiring!) first few months with Alfie, as you are his world - and ex still sounds useless!
Take care0 -
Hi Fitz
Just wanted to say I think you are being amazing and very strong. However just wanted to add that I think you should really consider waiting to get a dog. We had a dog during my first pregnancy but after the baby was born I couldn't cope with the dog too and I am sorry (and a little ashamed) to say we gave the dog up. I am not saying you or anyone else would react the same as me at all and maybe you have your dog now in which case enjoy him/her. I just think you have so much on your plate and will have even more after your baby is born. Friends who say they will help and walk the dog don't always materialize to help when needed.

I have to be honest and say I would wait for the dog regarding the childminding too. I'm aware I'm in the minority, but I'm very asthmatic and there is no way I would send my kids, especially if like me they were a bit on the wheezy side, anywhere with dogs.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
