had a good day and then it went kind of downhill...

convinced myself i was ready to meet with him and discuss how we're going to move on and become friends... he text me last night saying he wanted to talk and could i do tonight.. i rearranged my evening to fit him in..

come 3pm this afternoon he's found something better to do and cancelled. i was so, so convinced i was over him and he couldnt hurt me... but this brought me to tears!

i think he was after sympathy and i basically told him i'd moved on, wanted to be friends and nothing more and was happier without him being my husband... he turned not long after... so maybe he realised he wouldnt get what he wanted coming out here...

on the plus side.. i'm all booked in for the courses i need to become a registered childminder...! should get virtually everythign done by end of july - plenty time left to relax before Alfie arrives..

and my friend starts work on the house next week... so telling the lodger she nees to leave asap when she gets home from work tonight...

Congratulations on your scan result. I agree with everyone else who's posted about boys being more loving to their Mum.

I have 1 DS and 2 DDs and right up until he left home for uni, my son was never too embarrassed to hug and kiss me in public, whereas the girls soon decided such public displays were far from 'cool' :rotfl:

Good luck with your future, though I think luck will have little to do with it - you're so focussed and determined, you're bound to be fine.

Your soon-to-be-ex seems like a useless waste of space and most definitely not worth your tears.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

thought you might all be bored of me! hehe

been to my intro session for my childminding course... looks positive still... in fact the tutor said i can squeeze into one of her sessions for the week i'll miss while on holiday with the in-laws.. so now wont need to wait til October to get the certificate i need to register with Ofsted!

sat and worked out i'll need 2 kids 8 hours a day 4 days a week to pay mortgage and bills... but also hoping to take after school kids too to bump it up a bit. planning on not working mondays so my friend can take Alfie and i can do my books / planning etc... and then spend some quality time with my son!

Alfie has been kicking good and proper this week... loving it! got over bump-envy yesterday by layers of really tight tops! someone at work had mentioned she couldnt see the bump at all... but she grabbed me yesterday and said it's huge! hehe

    lodger leaving 2mo!!! YIPEE!!!

ex is supposedly coming over tonight... whether he'll turn up or not i dont know. he called out of the blue last night and said he wanted to talk to me - after barely 3 words since the scan...

if he comes i'll update on what he has to say... if not i'm knitting little blue things in front of the telly!!!

and still waiting to hear re redundancy... been told the enhanced package is going to be 5 months wages (basic for me if they dont top it up to cover my maternity pay) which would take me to mid-Nov - when my full wage was going own to SMP anyway, except it should last longer cos i wont have train fares and the money will be tax-free....

got to go... driving 2 hours with my sister to pick up a crib and bits a lady at work is giving me... shes laying on lunch too and then we've got the drive back..

    Hello Fitz,
glad it's all going well for you - won't it be amazing to have the crib and all that baby stuff? I remember spending ages washing, ironing, folding, unfolding, refolding all the baby stuff I was given for my first one...it's just really strange having the clothes and equipment although the baby's still kicking! Hope it'll be a special time for you. Childminding arrangements sound very well advanced already - very impressive.
Hope you have a nice weekend,
    MsB

Hi Fitzilian, thanks for the update! I figured you hadn't heard much from OH by your silence and am glad to read you've been so pro-active with everything else in your life.

So you survived having a lodger - well done! For a little while anyway... Any plans to replace her?

So best of luck for this evening - and enjoy your knitting, if nothing else! x

he came... with his mum but thats cos he's staying at hers for a while until his flat comes through... she was his taxi...

we talked for about an hour... he mainly wanted to let me know that he was having trouble at work and was on a 4 week review... he's been doing too much personal stuff during work hours. i told him i'm going through the same as him and i'm managing to get it all done outside of my work hours...

also told him he needs to work whatever... the mortgage has to be paid or we'll both be in massive doo-doos... i said if he couldnt afford to pay for his flat and the mortgage he will have to come back here til he sorts himself out.

we were like old friends yesterday... in fact he said it felt like we'd talked more yesterday than we ever had... i said thats cos he was never home to have a conversation with me! miow!

ended up going back to his parents and having dinner, his nans were there too and i wanted to see them, show them the pic etc.. was a nice evening... got us over the awkward bit i think - so now hopefully christmas etc wont be too difficult...

i wont be getting another lodger... i think it would be too difficult with the childminding and with Alfie - it would have to be someone i knew and trusted and then i'd have the same problem of not wanting to moan at them for not doing things my way... i'd also like the space for an office!

work friend gave me a sack of clothes, loads of toys, a stairgate, the crib and a full-on buggy with car seat! the last thing was a bit dirty/mouldy... but ex can have the car seat if he wants it and if he promises to clean it properly....

have four sacks of clothes that have either been donated or i've won for pennies on ebay- lots of washing to do.. but it was lovely sorting through into age ranges and reading all the little captions etc! cant wait for him to be here now!
