    Morning all,

    Happy birthday Mudgekin:bdaycake:

    Congratulations on new job Lillibet...

Glad to see that you are compos mentis this morning Sybil...take it easy.

Not sure what to have for dinner, there is a piece of ham to be cooked, some of the rubber chicken left, was thinking of fishcakes so will have to put my thinking cap on...trouble is I fancy all 3 but that's just my gluttony in action

Trying to remember a recipe for a soup that DD swears was composed of lots of onions, butter beans and cabbage and nothing else...have the stock from the chicken so might throw in a few other veg with onion and the beans and some cabbage at the end....wish I could find the b***dy recipe, took it from a newspaper and thought I filed it with other similar stuff...no luck so far

Mioliere...we will miss you until you get back to us online....your energy is phenomenal....I would do anything rather than move, still finding things I forgot about when we moved here 14 years ago!

Badly need another cuppa so will wish you all a good day...ground frost here this morning, no fog but cloudy...

    Morning all

Just gonna do some jobsearch before going to have my haircut, Even with a bus ride and a long walk each way it still works out cheaper than Supercuts who apparently now charge £21 if they cut off anymore than this much

taplady - ooo I can feel for your DH sciatica is sooo painful

he's come home from work, used the TENS machine and gone to bed with my 2 lavender wheat bags - says he's ok until he moves.
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Taplady, I have had sciatica and found doing gentle stretches lying on the floor before bed and first thing in the morning got rid of it. I got shown the stretches by a sports massage therapist. There were some morning where i could not even bend to put my socks on!

Could pm you stretches if you want although I want to add I am not a doctor and you should seek professional advice!! Lol

Reverbe - trying to find a decent hairdresser that doesn't need a second mortgage is a real trial. I'm sorry to hear that you are a little sad after reading the MySpace entry. Hope such sunshine as makes it through will cheer you up.

I had my hair cut on Saturday, which was reasonable, and I also (goodness knows why I allowed myself to get talked into this) had my eyebrows threaded. I had my eyes shut so I can't describe what happens but the end result is like having your eyebrows plucked and they used the sort of cotton you would use for sewing leather and some spit.

Still no OS today apart from the washing on the line. Little bear has finally given in to a much needed nap after a nice walk and a haircut. He cried all the way through the haircut, sobbed his heart out, but he got a lolly at the end and that made a significant difference.

They are muttering about roadworks, so I suppose I had better enjoy line drying while it is feasible.

    Hugs to all

  • Hello again!

I was up early again this morning (hence the early post) and finally got to talk to Tris. Problem is, if he is late with his meds or if he has taken them a bit too close together he is bad/short tempered, so to catch him for the few mins a day he is himself is a miracle in itself!

I went to bed again after I posted and feel much better after some more sleep!

Floss - we had their profiteroles last time - wayy too many for two, even if we are lil piggys here!
Tru - hope all goes well for him. I always cry buckets after a general anaesthetic, I come round already crying and then can't stop for ages!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Lillibet - Wooohoooo, well done you!!
jovi - Good luck with all the practising! :p
Sunnygirl - the plot planner was worth the 99p itself, I have had great fun with it already!

It's such a gorgeous spring day out there, can't wait to have my bench back in the garden so I can go out and enjoy it. However, my OH put all the baking things out on the table for me before he went to work this morning so I think my day is planned out!:rotfl:

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone!

REVERBE - don't waste another second looking up information on this guy and making yourself sad. It's in the past, don't let it drag you back and stop you looking into the future. I truly belived my ex was my soul mate and spent ten years with him until I realised he suffered from fullofshititis :D Then when I'd really let him go and was determined to move on I found my real soul mate and married him.

Well, the afternoon antique snuffles is off as hubby is having a heavy day of work so I've decided to rake up all the moss on the lawn, which will probably kill me as I only have a leaf rake and a very large area to cover.

I salvaged the bread this morning and it rose fine despite the ingredients sitting in the pan all night.

AND new experimental project in the slow cooker - HM yoghurt. I have a warm function so think I can make it ok from milk, dried milk and a couple of dessertspoons of plain shop bought yoghurt left over from last week.

    I'll keep you posted.
