didn't get chance to read or post yesterday but got 2 days off now:j
Congratulations to lillibet dripping on the new job:T
A very foggy morning here but supposed to improve later - hope so cos the washing's on the line!
DH txt me earlier to say he is in agony with his back and sciatica again - he will have to have time off and rest it properly - he just worries about losing the money but he'll have no choice in the end.
DS1(19) has got a part time job:T 1 nights dj - ing a week for starters in a night club. Its not that much more than his benefits but its what he really wants to do so am hoping it will lead to more work.
Am cleaning for Mum this morning, was going shopping with DH later but he cant go now cos of his back so might just pop to the supermarket on my own as we need a few bits and I'm working all weekend.
Have cleaned through the house, 2nd lot of washing just about to go on.
(((HUGS))) to those n need.
have a great day in the sunshine x
Happy Birthday Mudgekin:beer:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi evety one, hope you are all well
MSD - the M&S meals do us more than one meal too - I tend to cook the veg myself and take the cheese option rather than desert which does for sandwhichs or veg in cheese sauce another day. I still have the wine from the last one
Tru - hope all goes well for you dad today
N9eav - best of luck at the doctor's today
I'm at work trying to rescusitate some bacteria my boss mistreated in a rushed moment. They look a bit stressed but I think they will surviveMy mammalian cells aren't ready to sub-culture yet, so he will have to do those when I am away. I will be in Korea next week. I am very tired - I clocked 105 hours over six days last week.
OS has completely gone to bits - OH decided to take the salad we were supposed to be having for tea to work for lunch yesterday, which was not what I needed to find out coming back from work after 18hrs in the lab. I was not amused. The flat looks like it was in the path of the laundry tornado and it has to be spotless in two days time for the landlady's visit. *sigh*
Still nothing from either solicitor, no copy of the papers for me and I haven't sent my letter to them yet either. I have a meeting in 2hrs, slides to get to my boss before 4pm, a proposal and CV to get to my other boss by the end of the day, bacteria to feed and plate and a machine to repair. Looks like another late one
Right - better get back to, I'm supposed to be speaking at this meeting, but I think they are used to me winging it with a board marker by nowhave a good day all, cel x

Hiya all
Mudgekin Happy Birthday
Lillibet Congratulations on the new job, sounds fab :j
Well, I am in a very good mood todayafter months of tryng to convince my OH to try for another baby, he has finally agreed - think he got worn down by all the nagging :rotfl: DS is 4 now and we always wanted another child so think the time is right.
As for my day, I went on to Asda's website to order an online shop yesterday but decided against it cos of the £4.50 delivery charge. We live relatively close to the store so DS and I are going to make 2/3 trips rather than 1 and carry it home, have shopping list all ready so won't get distracted by offers
Still working on front room, todays cleaning consists of a unit that is a mega clutter zone and cleaning the bathroom. Still working through all the washing - is amazing how quickly it accumulates
Have a great day all, ((((hugs)))) to all who need em :A

Hi all - I'm still here, packing as if my life depends on it! I've not had much time on here at all, lately, but try and read the thread every day.
Happy Birthdays to Vickie for yesterday, and Mudgekin for today.
(((Hugs))) to all those who are unwell or nursing poorly relatives.
(((Hugs))) so Smoky and the LOs.
(((Hugs))) to PenPin.
Congratulations to Lillibet Dripping - well done on the new job.
OS today is a beef casserole using up leftovers from the freezer, which I've been running down all week. I'll still have some meat that DS2 and DIL will have. DIL2 has a lovely little bump now, but has been having some pains - Doc thinks it may be a urine infection and she''ll get the results of her urine test tomorrow.
We had a great afternoon with the grandchildren after school yesterday. We took them to a great local park, and then to Pizza Hut for dinner, and we all enjoyed it. I'll get another chance to see the family when we bring the empty truck back next Tuesday, so I've prolonged the real goodbyes until then - I'm dreading it.
Well, back to the never-ending packing.
Hope everyone is having this gorgeous weather - what a lovely week it's been.
Will try and keep up before I lose my connection tomorrow afternoon; I should be back online next Thursday, all being well.

Morning all!
Haven't been on here for a fair while, been super busy - last semester is great but soooooooo tiring! Guess the extra stuff i'm doing isn't helping but hey ho.
I've been feeling really under the weather recently, and when I started wheezing and having problems breathing I was really worried so I went to the doctor - at the age of 23 I have hayfever for the first time! I've got lots of eye drops and nasal spray and tablets to take, but I can breathe again which is nice;) to be honest I was just relieved it wasn't asthma. I had a horrible time with that when I was a kid but now the antihistamines have kicked in i'm feeling loads better.
Had the first night of the play last night - went really well but I'm in work right now and everybody is giving me funny looks because I still have grey bits in my hairI play a 75-year-old and greying up red hair is no easy task, and if i wash my hair properly everyday it ends up looking like one of those ginger frizzy wigs!:rotfl:
My mum's staying with me and going home today. It's been so lovely to see her, last night after the play we went to Jamie's Italian in kingston - oh lordy - it is GOOD!! It was her birthday a couple of weeks ago and obviously it's mother's Day coming up so she deserved to be treated
Plan for today: Meet mum after work and send her on her merry way back to Devon, go to my seminar, go back to bed for a couple of hours and get ready for the second night of the play tonight. No OS probably, but I'll try adn get back on that at some point.
Have a lovely day in the sunshine everyone xx2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Morning All!
haven't been around much lately, enjoying the weather though!
:bdaycake: Vicky and Mudgekin!
 :T :T to Lillibet on the job!
I’m no worse, but not a lot better either! Had the Occ Health report back last week, and she has written to my consultant for a report. She says that ill health retirement looks like it’s the way to go. I knew that really, but it was a bit stark seeing it in black and white.
Applied for DS's Student Finance yesterday. After four times trying to do it online, and getting “Internal server error” I gave up and printed off the form…..all 28 pages of it! Sent it off, have to wait now. He should get the full grant for fees, not sure what else though.
OH and I have an appointment with the wheelchair clinic next week. The one I bought is too short for im, and he has to stoop, so they are going to make one to fit both of us! The physio also said that y arches in my feet have dropped, so I am going for a fitting of orthotics to help my balance. Honestly, I’m falling to bits! !LOL!!
Electrician coming this morning to fix a wire. It had been fine for eleven years, till the plumber disturbed it putting in the new boiler, now it’s shorting out. Like the song “All makes work for the working man to do!”
Well off to listen for the doorbell!
I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good morning all.
It was beautiful when I got up earlier, sun has gone now and everything is all glum looking.
I have to stay in today as I'm waiting for my kitchen company to come. The paint on my cupboard doors keeps cracking and they have to keep changing them.Luckily the kitchen comes with a lifetime guarantee but it's becoming a bit of a pain now.I've had to have all the base units changed up to now and it's not even three years old.
I'll be up till late too as my grand-daughter is going off on a field trip for college and we have to take her for her pick up at midnight.I'll need a nap I think to stay awake. She's going to read poetry in the first world war trenches,in order to understand and appreciate it more. She's been told to take her wellies.
N9eave I hope your docs appointment goes well.
Happy birthday Mudgkin....
Congrats on the new job lillebet.
Tru,hope your dad's ok.Strangely like your dad,my own father had a bad accident on his legs at 16,they healed well but he also needed to have his knees replaced when he was in his early sixties.
To everyone have a good day...0 -

where gave a life time gaurentee????
that sounds like a good deal... (obviously not great that you've had to use it, but i am at the moment looking at kitchens for the house that i can never buy as it is falling down.... it's my own fault i shouldn't have fallen in love with the wreck of a house, as all other houses pale in comparison and look small/or just aren't right compared to it!!!!...)
this morning before work i popped some washing on, and have changed my sheets as that will save me doing it on Saturday... i obvoiusly forgot to put in the bath mat, which is now the only light thing in my house that needs to be washed now:rolleyes: ...
this afternoon when i get home i will sort all of the washing, and ironing, as well as giving the kitchen a good bottoming, and doing all oif the hoovering, or at least down stairs ()i have decided that if i split the hoovering into 2 smaller sections i may in fact get round to doing all of it...
big hugs to all, and warm thoughts to those who need them. :grouphug:
