Oh no hope everything is ok?
:rotfl::rotfl:greenbynature, i shouldnt laugh but i couldnt help it!!
Hey Flower,
Yeah everything is fine but I really can't get over the fact that 'Health Professionals' can be so unprofessional!!
I had alot of issues with the hospital where I gave birth and I didn't want the same horrible things to happen again so asked for a home birth...Now, there's a can of worms I shouldn't of opened!! Turns out that midwives in my area aren't willing to offer this as it's not fair on them and that's what hospital widwives are for..??
Then they started using excuses like, it's the governments fault that they can't offer home births...this has been an ongoing thing for a couple of weeks now but it all came to a head the other day when midwife's supervisor phoned me and basically called me a whinge!!
There's not much family around me (sister has daughter of her own and cousin has 6) so me daughter has never been looked after by anyone else, never stayed away the night or anthing and I said this to midwife and she told me to pack my wee lassie up to go stay with someone for a few days to get her used to being away...WHAT THE F**k?!!
I'm not really a whinge but I just felt that I needed to bring up the issues I had with a couple of members of staff in the hospital (even my OH was shocked at the way I was treated) but that seems like the worst thing I could of done...now I'll be going to the hospital on my own (OH will stay with daughter) but I won't be able to drive myself as OH will need the car to come get us as the hosp is 30miles away but I won't get an ambulance to take me cause it's not an emergency...

Gosh thats awful!! Cant believe the midwife told you to stop moaning, they of all people should know how different everyones circumstances can be!!
You shouldnt be having to worry about things like this while your pregnant! I hope you manage to get something sorted out, but try not to worry too much - easier said than done i know!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

I'm going to go into that hospital now with everyone thinking I'm a complainer! I didn't even get any pain releif cause they didn't think I needed it, I'm not bothered about that now but I was reduced to tears at one point when some woman made me feel really degraded and dirty, was a horrible feeling and then they wouldn't even let me go to the toilet to pee...I had to do it in a cardboard bowl in the same room as OH (I made him stand in corner and told him not to look!) The list is really endless but they don't seem to care...midwife even had the cheek to say I should of mentioned this sooner so she could have talked me out of wanting a home birth sooner! I'm just annoyed as people tell you that you've got the choice to have whatever kind of birth you want and then they don't give you the choice!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
