My aunt saves 20p's - she saves one a day, every day and at Christmas she uses that money £73 (if my maths is right!) for her christmas food shopping, its quite amazing one little 20p a day can make such a difference.last year I did the sealed pot challenge and I got £200+ - have forgotten the exact amount! was really chuffed cos it paid for DS2's 21st birthday present, am doing it again this year but am quite tempted at the moment to open it
but will be good and wait so it can pay for xmas this year hopefully, I collect £2,£1,50p and 20p's in that and I also have a copper jar which I save 10p,5p,2p and 1p's in which also adds up quite nicely but I bag it up every couple of months and pay it into my bank.

Today is some info for those on healthy eating / weight loss kicks. In Glamour magazine there is an article saying you should have at least 7 1/2 hrs sleep. They did an experiment with a few women to prove it aided weight loss. Apparently if you sleep less than that your body isn't getting enough time to break the fat in the body which is a job it does when we're in a deep sleep.Another more practical fact is that when you're tired you are likely to eat more and usually the stuff that aint that good for you!!
That explains a lot as I very rarely get that many hours sleep during the week, more than make up for it on a weekend thoand sounds like an excellent way to lose weight to me - ie no effort :T:rotfl:my kind of weight loss plan!

A crusty old biker out on a long summer ride in the country pulls up to a
tavern in the middle of nowhere, parks his bike and walks inside.
As he passes thru the swingin' doors, he sees a sign hanging over the
bar:
COLD BEER: $2.00
HAMBURGER: $2.25
CHEESEBURGER: $2.50
CHICKEN SANDWICH : $3.50
HAND JOB: $50.00
Checking his wallet to be sure he has the necessary payment, the old
biker walks up to the bar and beckons to the exceptionally attractive
female bartender serving drinks to a couple of sun-wrinkled farmers.
She glides down behind the bar to the old biker. 'Yes?' she inquires with a wide, knowing smile, 'may I help you?'
The old biker leans over the bar, "I was wondering young lady," he
whispers, "Are you the one who gives the hand-jobs?"
She looks into his eyes with that wide smile and purrs "Why yes, yes, I
sure am".
The old biker leans closer and into her left ear whispers softly,
"Well, wash your hands real good, cause I want a cheeseburger".Debt @ LBM - £25,722 Debt now - £11,811 DFD - April 2012

Im pretty sure this is true, swimming is very good for you so keep it up!!
Whenever my mum wants to lose a bit of weight she starts going swimming again and you can always see the benefits. Im not a very strong swimmer myself so dont really enjoy it and probably couldnt do that many lengths!! OH keeps saying he is going to get me swimming lessons, but i would feel a bit stupid as im 20!
Got a cheque through for £18 this morning so waiting for that to clear then can use that for my PADs, but until then £4.35 to HSBC CC for me today.
Hope everyone is having a good day!!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
