Thanks for your quick reply consultant31 and I am looking forward to starting tomorrow (too late for today after the saltfish fritters for lunch and about a million chocolate digestives for tea snack!).

On Saturday and Sunday lunch will be out of my control as I am going to a course where they will serve food, but as it is going to be vegan I hope it is not going to be very heavy in calories. Will be careful on breakfast and dinner, I suppose!

The old book worked for me before, but what I need to do is design a diary sheet with the space for HEs, syns etc., I found it really helped when I filled those sheets.

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Hi all

I have a question please: have the SW books changed much since 2007? I still have my old book, will I be able to follow that? Thank you.

I think the books will be fine as a basis but might be worth checking a few bits and pieces as some foods will have changed.

    Hello all:D

I have been really busy with inspection and work related stuff for a few weeks although have been spying on you all when I get the odd minute!!!

Well I have stayed on the straight and narrow despite much stress have now lost 1st 6 lbs in 11 weeks by eating quite a bit really!!!!

Am still hoping to lose one more stone and then may push my target for a few pounds more but know my progress will begin to slow!! I have now been trying to step up my body magic which might help shift the weight a bit quicker!!!
Anyway hope you are all coping with the ups and downs.....at least spring weather gives you a good feeling and I love the thought of being able to proudly bare my arms for the first time in three or so years (not yet though!!!) Rock on everyone ...

I'd just use a small notebook - with columns for Free Food, HEs and syns. It's really only there to focus your mind and remind you what you've had and not had. Just make sure you fill it in as you go along.
    Good luck :)

    Hi everyone.

Just trying to put down in black and white what my eating pattern is and what I eat.

In a week I work 2 12 hour day shifts and a 12 hour night shift. On day shift I usually take either super noodles or Pasta n Sauce with me. Saying that sometimes there is a meal on the menu that I can have. We do the cooking for the clients. I often make an oven omellette for lunch using whats in. Night shift is bad for me as I tend to raid the biscuit cupboard at work.

Breakfast is porridge with skimmed milk and a banana.

Im trying the EE system but not fully into it yet. Have just got up after night shift and had some Supernoodles. Tomorrow I plan to make a baked bean chilli. I did make the lemon chicken from the SW book and that was nice. For snacks I have Muller Yoghurts. My main prob is chocolate. So I usually have a Milky Way each day and try not to eat them all at once.

Im supposed to be going to a wedding do on Sat night but Im not fussed as its a late night and a buffet . I start work at 7.30 Sunday morning.

    Sorry for the rambling post.

Hello all - found you! I don't pop in often (well I do read every day, but I don't often "speak"!) but I have this money-saving/Slimming World hint that is really nothing to do with food or weight ..... the little brown Vecon jars, when empty, make lovely tealight holders! They are taller than what I usually use (face moisturiser pots) so the candles are not so prone to blowing out, and the flame is a lovely effect through the brown glass.

Caterina, I do what Consultant says, I use a small notebook, fresh page each day, after a few days you don't even need headings on the columns. I like to have the foods in the Superfree column at least twice the length of any other columns.

I'm off to London for a few days and am hoping the extra walking will cancel out the fab meals I shall be eating :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • well amazingly I lost 1lb tis week - which considering I stuffed myself stupid at the weekend is a miracle !

I don't hold out much hope for next week as we are away all w/e but fingers crossed if i stick to the plan 100% from monday I might loose another 1lb?
