    Can someone point me in the direction of the baked bean lasagne recipe please.

    Hi Toochoosy.

    Baked Bean Lasagne Serves 4 - syn free on Green

    2 large onions, thinly sliced;
    2 red peppers, de-seeded, chopped & sliced;
    Mushrooms
    2 tins baked beans;
    2 tins chopped tomatoes;
    Salt & pepper to taste;
    Garlic;
    Splash of Worcestershire sauce
    Splash of soy sauce;
    Lasagne sheets;
    168g reduced fat cheese, grated (HEA)
    Fry-light.

    Fry onions, peppers & mushrooms in Fry-light till soft;
    Add beans & chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper & garlic;
    Add splashes of Worcestershire sauce & soy sauce & mix all together;
    Layer in casserole dish, alternating tomato mixture with lasagne sheets;
    Cover with foil & bake in oven for 30-35 mins (about 200);
    Uncover, sprinkle cheese on top & bake for further 5 mins;
    Serve with salad & SW chips.
    I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Thanks for the advice yesterday. I will try to get to a meeting and pick up the information next week. In the meantime I have decided to trawl through the ideas and recipies on here and try to stick to those for a few days.

    Today I have planned
    B. 'marions rice' (thanks marion!:T )
    L. cottage cheese jacket potato, tomato, lettuce
    D. Not sure yet - something with roasted chicken and veg as have these to use up. Maybe a curry/rice it I can find a recipie

    Snacks will be fruit/yogurt and maybe some HM soup (just made with veg)
    Milk with be a HEA

    Does this look roughly OK?

    This looks great for someone working it out!! :T

    You would be best (IMHO) to run 'extra easy' days until your get your books, as then all your lean meat, fish and pots/rice/pasta will be 'free'.

    so -
    B great,
    L you could add sweetcorn or tuna or baked beans to your jacket potato to make it more substantial. Remember your potato can be whatever size, just avoid the butter/spread (or keep it minimal, 1 level tsp = 2 syns)
    D a chicken and veg curry with rice would be yummy. I posted a chicken curry recipe recently ... just search my name :D or you could make one up using a tomato base (mine was a creamy yogurt base)
    Your snacks are fine.

    If you ran your day like this, you would be a 'B' choice short - maybe 2 small slices of toast or 28g cheddar on your potato as suggestions?

    AND you will be pleased to know you *need* some syns! a glass of wine is 5-6 syns, 1/2 a lager the same, kit kat 5.5, baked wotsits I think are about 5 or 6 as well. Aim for between 5 and 15.

    Have a wonderful SW day! :D :j

    Well done to everyone who lost weight last night.

    I am on a 100% week and so far seem to have stuck to it!

    Today's menu is a follows:
    Breakfast
    Oats so simple (HEB)
    250ml Semi (HEA)

    Lunch
    Probably a Jacket pot but not sure yet.

    Dinner
    Either:
    Asda Chick Pea Dahl (in a tin so super quick and free on a GREEN and EE and tastes great) (beware the Sainsburys version is 11 SYNS) with rice (I also mix baked beans with my dahl) or tuna pasta.

    Snacks
    Plums, Satsumas, mullerlight
    One fine day I will be slim and debt free!!
  • My menu today is 'Extra Easy'

    B - 0% greek yog with strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. Tea (milk HA)

    L - King prawn stir fry with lots and lots of stir fry veg, and maybe some noodles too. 'sauce' made with soy, nam pla, ginger, garlic, chilli and spices.

    D - lamb rogan josh and rice. samosa (1 syn each, homemade, I shall have 3 :D) maybe a spicy spinach and potato side dish if I am feeling inspired (which I often am), raita made with yog and cucumber and mint.

    Friday night Mojito or Bramble cocktail (4 syns) and glass of wine (6) brining syns to 13 :T

    edit - just noticed I need a B (this always happens to me on EE) thank heavens I write this down :A

    I tried the above last night as the pic looked so yummy. I really thought i would hate it as i have always assumed i would hate cottage cheese (looks like sick lol) but it was LOVELY and i ate it all he he. Don't hate red days soooooooooo much anymore :)

    Green for me today and just had 'marion's rice' - very very scrummy with a vanilla and choc muller (the new one) - even son ate some. Think my kids are enjoying this new diet as much as me lol. They loved the 'quiche' as above too!

    :hello: Hi all, I'll never remember all these new names so a big welcome to everybody starting out or starting again. I had WI last night and managed to shake off my 0.5lb gain from last week and another pound for good measure, which all things considered seems a fair result, although I always want it to be more :D. I also had an eventful evening as I was crowned our groups 'Greatest Loser' which as my Darling Husband and Lovely sons said ' Says it all really' !!! :rotfl:

  • Well done lo-bush, did you get a prize or anything ?:j :T :T :T :T
    Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:
