I really haven't found this diet hard yet as there is still stuff i'm learning! Have planned next weeks meals and ordered food shop (on budget too!) with quite a few new recipes to try to keep it varied. Going to try: baked bean lasagne, smash pizza, 'free' croquettes and some sw pasta quiche and red day quiche this week and some ferrerro rocher (sw style) and a choc cheesecake
Have joined http://www.minimins.com as they have a lovely slimming world recipe section - a lot of the above came from there! When i start to get complacent/bored/plateau i will try EE but i'm too scared at the moment lol.

Weel done for your day and night. I was terrible but it was my birthday and I am going to try harder from here onwards. I am trying not to put too much pressure on though as I know I am liable to just throw in the towel and go completely back to very bad old eating habits.
I'm not going to say the begining of today was great but the rest of today's food choices will be
I have a massive chocolate bday cake to throw away the rest of when I get home or I will eat it!!!doh
You are making great progress and I will slowly be just as good as you, baby steps.
Hope everyone's day goes well,

Hi, I have just found this thread and would like to join you please?
I have loads of weight to lose - about 70 lbs (and that's a conservative goal) and it seems really daunting - to the point where I am seriously considering gastric banding but the idea of that scares me stiff
I have done Slimming World several times before and lost 4 stone relatively easily the first time when I went with my sister and we supported each other and both did really well.
After 13 courses of IVF, twins and moving house a couple of times and losing my weight loss 'buddy' I am struggling.
I have tried SW, WW, Rosemary Conley, the Idiot Proof Diet, Hoodia and tablets from the Docs.
SW has always been my preference but I have done it so many times that I seem to 'tweak' it without realising and blow it!
I'm not planning to join a class this time as the local groups are all run by the same lady who whilst being very nice did not inspire me like my first leader did - probably down to me rather than her I know.
I have all the books from last year and am going to try and 'go it alone' and hopefully get some support on here as there seem to be alot of very knowledgeable people who have done/are doing very well with SW.
I have one question - am I right in thinking that the main difference to the plan since last summer is the addition of Extra Easy? If so, is it possible to just get hold of that particular book?
Many thanks

Thanks so much for taking the time and trouble to go through my menu plan - I can't quite believe how much I am allowed to eat!!
Just to be absolutely sure though - can I eat the free foods as snacks as well as in meals as much as I want? If so, this diet is definately going to be easier to stick to than anything else I have seen........

would you mean vegemite though... isnt vecon like a veg stock??
and trust me, my DH would go nuts with me if i started to use anything else as a tealight holder, when we got married i had a change of heart over what tealight holders i wanted for the tables after already buying some that we couldnt return.... to cut a long story short, i will NEVER have to buy anything like that again!! :rotfl:Please be nice to all moneysavers!

you are welcome
You must try to eat plenty with SW - if you 'restrict' yourself, your body may sense starvation, and try to store the food you do eat (as fat) ... the minute you eat plenty, your body has no need to store it, and the weight falls off! :T
With red, green or extra easy, then you can eat from the free food freely at any time of the day. Three meals, three snacks or 10 meals - you do what is right for you :j
With extra easy - for the fastest weight loss, try to eat lots of superfree foods (all fruit and most veg, lf cottage cheese, eggs, tofu, quorn) etc
As you are doing EE today, you can eat lean meat, fish, pasta, potatoes, noodles, rice to your hearts content!:j :j
It is a great 'diet!'0 -
