Hi again,
How does this sound for a green day?
Breakfast - two bananas and fat free yoghurt
Lunch - jacket potato with cottage cheese
Afternoon snack - baby sweetcorn, cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks plus more banana and an apple
Dinner - Mushroom and noodle stir fry with half a small pack of spicy sauce
Pudding - Mango pieces with fat free yoghurt
(I've also just scoffed 3 quorn sausages too!)
How does that sound for a green day? ok I hope! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

WI tonight. I lost 3.5lb and OH lost 0.5lb. I got my stone award and was slimmer of the week so I'm really happy. I'd had a tough week but I stuck with it so it's made me realise it's worth it. We only started a month ago and we're both noticeably thinner. Hooray for SW!!!!:j0

Argh bit annoyed with myself, my friends wanted to go for dinner and we met in a local shopping centre where they have lots of different places to eat. it was my friends turn to pick and she chose Pizza Hut
so I gave in and had an individual Cheese & Tomato pizza  thats like at least 40+syns for one meal.
I've been so good since I started (only 2 and bit weeks ago!) guess I'll have to have no syns now on til WI on mon/tues.

Goodness, everyone is doing so well this week, except me & my extra half pound!
I am writing everything down this week so im really hoping for a lose on monday. Choc wont b a problem over the easter weekend, i may hav a little bar but will syn it, would love a hot cross bun but the feeling of losing weight is better than the few moments of enjoyment while eating it!0 -
I want to lose 3 stone ultimately though will be thrilled to lose just 1 to start with.
How long would it realistically take to lose 3 stone, is by the end of the year pushing it?
It would purely depend on your starting weight and metabolism. For me, 3 stone took me 28 weeks, but I had plenty to lose. Obviously, you lose the water and sugar from your system first, hence the quick initial losses, so it will depend on how your body adjusts to the plan really.
I'm sure others will post how long it took them too, but I really can't see that there is any pattern. Some lose really quickly at first then might only lose 1lb a month! I've been lucky, my loss is averaging at about 1+1/4lb per week over the 40-odd weeks.
The old myth was always 1lb a week, so I think if you were to seriously put your mind to it, there is no reason why you can't achieve your goal.
What are we now? Wk 15, so 37 to go to lose 42lb - achievable target I would say, especially with the summer coming! :T0 -
Been to my weigh in and Ive lost 2.5lb. Im over the moon. I have been trying hard this week though. Considering there was a Thorntons stall next to me in the hospital where I do voluntary work Ive done well. I even refused a creme egg the other day. I think my saving grace has been the quiche and taking it to work with me. The edge was taken off a bit though. Someone joined tonight who I know. She said I dont know how youve lost weight all the tea you drink at the hospital. One its not true but she is always having a dig at me. But I said well tea is free and walked away. I dont need toxic people around me.
Well done to everyone who has lost and well done to everyone else who are doing their best.
I am appalled at her attitude. Yeuch, people like that we just do not need.
Huge well done on your loss, you have done really well, and you MUST NOT let comments like that do anything other than spur you on. :T:T:T:T:T0 -

I made the free SW quiche today for the first time (with pasta n sauce) but think I must have gone wrong somewhere as it just looked like pasta with cottage cheese mixed init was cooked through and tasted ok just looked odd! Any tips?
Also I just read above that using the same B choices can harm your weight loss. I usually have oat so simple and scan bran for brekkie cos its quick easy and filling. Is it a problem having the same cereal every day? My other B choice is usually meat or cheese on a green day.
Lastly a syns question. I've only been using 5-7 syns a day - do you think I'd be better upping it to nearer 10? I'm still breastfeeding my 7m old but worry about using too many syns early in the day incase I get the munchies and fancy something in the evenings BUT usually I don't. And am I ok saving some syns up this week so I can enjoy a creme egg and hot cross bun on sunday? YUM
thanks
Hello, welcome and WOW!! :T you are doing well
:cool:I believe that by staying to the same food choices all the time, your body is less likely to lose fat, by making regular changes, you are more likely to see a good weight loss.
I am sure you have been given good advice from your consultant re breastfeeding - I am sure you are given an extra A or B allowance (sorry, not sure) Many consultants would recommend that you take about 10 syns a day, but weather you use them daily (as I do) or start with 70-105 for the week and count down is up to you. There are many people that use syns weekly, saving some for a treat (like the cream egg you mention - 9 syns - or wine / takeaway at the weekend). Ultimately, we all find a way of using the plan that suits *our* life, and gives us a weight loss that *we* are happy with. Try it and see ..
