REALLY pleased to report a 3lb loss tonight... wooooooooooow! I'm very chuffed :D:D:D
  • Hi all

Well tonight was my first weigh in since leaving my class and I lost 2 1/2 pounds so I am really pleased with myself :j :j :j

I am feeling really motivated and determined so lets hope it lasts.

When I was going to class I bought practically every recipie book they had as I have a secret cook book fetish....:rotfl: :rotfl: I have so many and don't use them - I just like to look at them - sad or what!

Anyway this week I am going to start using them and am going to try and cook something different, I will let you know how it goes!

I am pleased to report that today has gone well. :j

    Menu as follows: (RED TODAY)

    Breakfast
Melon / Blackberries / chopped kiwi

Snack - cup of tea and hi fi bar (HEB) I resisted the cakes !!!!!!

Lunch (at the local cafe) JP with bacon and cheese. Treating the JP as my other HEB, the cheese as my HEA and bacon free.

Tea. Pork shoulder steaks which I marinated all day in orange juice, orange zest, chopped chillies, 5 spice chinese powder and smoked paprika served with roasted veg including leeks, peppers, onions and mushrooms.

Pudding : Chocolate sprinkle muller light yogurt.

Really pleased I resisted the cakes! Tomorrow might be tricky - out for lunch with a relative and family thing in evening (birthday cake alert (not mine) but think I will say that Im full, take the cake home and give it to my OH.

Determined to get things turned around this week.

I have been reading some of the extra easy menus featured in the SW magazine.

Prawns (which I really enjoy but am always too scared to buy/cook) seem to be featured a lot so in my bid to try new things this week, I have bought 2 packs of cooked prawns.

I just want to check that the prawns I have bought (Which are pink) can just be eaten just as they come (well mixed through with some low fat Thousand Island Dressing). should i rinse them in water first?

Alternatively if I want them in a stir fry, how long should I cook them for? Because I guess they only need a tiny bit of reheating???

    Hi Flat Eric,
f they are pink they will be cooked - though it does usually state it somewhere on the packet, if you are stir frying them (MMM Yum!!) then it wont take long, just make sure they are heated through properly.

Welcome Gillz - yes, that sounds about right. Our weigh in opens at 6pm, with the 'image therapy' starting at 6.30, and we are usually done by 7.30 - so 1 hr 20/30 all in ...

Are you happy and ready to go - green, red or easy today?

Thanks, Im still trying to get my head around it and work it all out. I went for green today, think I did ok, but was busy busy so felt a bit hungry at times.
Does anyone know how many syns a go ahead yogurty slice is?
