Are people losing on Extra easy? Cause it`s not working much for me!

Did not even have syns some days and never went over and lost a whole 1lb this week!

Going back to rwd and green-mostley green to see if that helps

Feedback generally seems to be very good, I know lots of people at group have had 3lb+ losses when they normally only have small losses. You may see it next week, or you could shake it up a bit with some success express days. Our bodies are funny things, I dont have big losses generally, but if I have a green week I normally lose nothing, but the week I got to target I went in with 2lb loss and that week I had 7 days of green

Was it your first go at EE? If so then have a good look over it all, make sure you have understood it, and also keep a food diary, your consultant may spot something untoward :)

I'd be landed with 1lb! Its only week 1 for me as a returning SW member, had a sneaky peek at the scales this morning on day 4 and im 2lbs down, but i appreciate that if i lose any more than that it won't be a regular thing as its only week 1 and my bodys losing water! Yeah try red/green aswell as your body gets used to the same routine sometimes and maybe needs a shock by changing what plan you stick to.

    Thanks for the replies

I obviously NEED to get some quorn! Both those ideas sound yummy so have stored them for another day. Have opened some kidney beans to put in the pasta sauce to bulk it out a bit and have also got some pudding rice out ready for Marions rice for pudding (or supper) so that should sort me out for today

This has made me realise though that I need to eat a bit more earlier in the day to avoid that horrid ravenous feeling - especially on days where I am doing a lot of sport

Thanks again - err, would anyone have an idea on the syns in a Morrisons bakery iced finger roll:o :o:o

Can't find that one but as an idea an Asda Iced doughnut 52g is 10 syns
  • Ok, I've been reading this thread for soem time now and have finally decided to join a slimming world group..... your slimming world group if you'll have me  Before you decide to let me in though you should know that I have a secret..... a big secret...... I used to be a slimming world consultant and have not only fallen off the wagon but rolled down the hill as well!!

I joined in 2002 and lost four stone in 3 months. I then became a consultant and lost another stone over my first year. That's when theweight loss stopped for me (even though I had 3 stone more to lose). I ran 2 very successful groups for four years helping hundreds of people lose weight but since the age of 9 I have never been a healthy weight for my height. Motivating other people was easy but I stopped feeling motivated myself not going to a group as a member. Plus, ironically, the heavier I was the more successful my group was..... new members seemed to prefer a fat bird greeting them at the door :D

Anyway, I decided to leave being a consultant to focus on losing weight and then go back when I felt more happy with myself. I find myself now two years on and heavier than I have ever been. :o
I started back on the green/red plans in jan and lost 1st 6lbs. I have now read up on EE and started this today.
2009 has to be the year I get to my goal becuase if I don't do it now I never will. I'm now 19st with an initial goal of losing 7 stone

    Can I join you?

:T Takes a lot to go back once you have done it before. I got to target a few years back, stopped going to group (My then consultants heart was not in it and she had given up to the point that she let one of the other members run the group!) and put on my 2st that I had lost, plus another half stone for good measure. I lost the weight easily last time and it was a bit of a shock this time round - it took me from aug 07 til march 09 to get rid of my weight . I know you can do it again, but consider a group, I could not have done it without my weekly group, and the key to target is to keep going to group, imho.

Thanks for that - mine would def be less than that as it was basically just a normal white bread finger roll with icing on top

So I'm back on track thanks to you lot! :T

Evening all, just wanted to post my meal plans for today,

had a RED day and so far have had
B - Branflakes (HEB) milk (HEA)
    L - HM soup - Carrot/Celery & Courgette (syn free)
D - Seafood salad and grilled mushrooms

drank lots of water today again, and have some soup for later if I get hungry or a couple of weetabix.

Think I might have to try Marions rice this week, I bought the pudding rice last time and never got around to making it, so am determined that it can be my new recipe this week :rotfl:

Feeling quite proud today, had the girls round for lunch (i nearly always slip up on girly lunch days), I bought Lemon Tart (my fav) and didn't have any!

B: Mini shreaded wheat, Milk, Tea
L: Baked Gammon (although I did boil it in coke then roast it with Honey & Mustart, I cut all the fat off so hope on EE this would still be free?), Jacket potatoes and large portion of green salad & beetroot, for pudding (whilst everyone had Lemon tart) I had Lemon Muller and berries - it was yum!
s:apple & large portion of grapes (I was going out for a run and needed energy)

Not sure what to have for dinner, not had it yet as been a busy day and only just got the kids in bed, think I might have Gammon (leftovers), Egg & SW chips.

Being extra good I have walked 3 miles today (school run - i nearly always take the car!) & also run 2 miles.

That's a really moving story - and really inspiring that you've found the willpower to step back up again. It makes me think about how important our readiness to make and maintain lifestyle changes is in this SW malarky. Relapses are a natural part of making changes - the important thing is recovering motivation and self-belief so you can get over that blip and keep going. Sounds like you're there! I've found using a psychological model of change helpful when I think about my own on-off-onn journey with weight loss. It puts relapses in perspective:
