Hi everyone. I wonder if you could help me out with something. I joined slimming world 7 weeks ago on the extra easy plan and lost 7 pounds in 4 weeks. However, since then i've put on a pound and have stayed at this weight for the last 2 weeks. What am i doing wrong? Am i eating too much?. I fill a third of my plate with super free foods, every time i eat, but i do eat alot because I love that full feeling. Do you think i could be over doing it? I'm wondering whether i should eat smaller meals or cut back to only 2 meals a day so i can still eat big meals. What do you think? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I think the way to go is to cut down the portion sizes, yes meat and tatties are free but if you are eating a shed load at every meal I'm guessing it would not have the same desired effect.
My consultant said to eat until satisfied, not until your fit to burst, I wouldnt cut out a meal as this is defeating the object of the plan.
Just cut the portion sizes down and over time your stomach will shrink that little bit.

els135 - I would give red or green days a go - there is still lots to eat and you shouldn't go hungry, but your body does need a shake up occasionally. It gets used to what you eat which is why most of us have various days in a week. Don't cut out meals as that doesn't achieve anything except 'starvation' mode where your body holds onto calories as it doesn't know when it's next meal is coming from.
  • Hi
I had a doctors appointment this morning to discuss my high cholesterol and my high blood pressure. I need to watch my diet and step up my exercise to get these two down.
I did used to go to slimming world a long time ago but still have the books. So will be embarking on a new healthy lifestyle once i've been shopping over the weekend to buy some healthier stuff!
I'm not going to pay to go to a weekly meeting but will use this forum for ideas and inspiration!

I did forget to ask this. Can you do one day extra easy and then red or green or must you stay with EE for a length of time?

No - you can mix them up as much as you like. In fact some people say that you get a better weight loss when you mix them up!

RetiredLady I love your quote by the Dalai - that is so true. Did EE replace Mix to Match or whatever it was called?

No it didn't replace them, they are still there. Although I must admit that they really do push extra easy at class and tend to gloss over the other choices.

Evening all, I've not had a good week. Been knackered due to stress at work and I have a cold so my appetite is all over the show! I'll be lucky if I STS this week at this rate. I'm thinking of trying the breakfast rice for tomorrow morning, is it really filling?

Yes I am going to try the rice. Also the more authentic rice pudding back earlier on the thread and the baked egg custard. Maybe at the weekend when there's more time.

Just be kind to yourself. Hope you feel better soon. :)
