Oh man! Just woke up from sleeping on the sofa, went to fridge for a drink, saw flapjack that my daughter had made and without thinking scoffed about half of it!:rotfl:She really needs to warn me.
On a better note - have lost about 4 pounds in a couple of weeks (I only weigh myself when i'm at the gymn) and am feeling SO much happier now that I'm back on track (flapjack blip notwithstanding).
Tomorrow will be a 100% day!Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Why not take some of the pressure off your self and stop setting yourself up for a target of another stone for Christmas? Why not just tell yourself that you will LOSE WHAT YOU CAN by Christmas? That way whatever you manage to do is a success!:T

Hi
Is there any kind soul prepared to explain the basic principles of Extra Easy? I have tried to search but so many threads come up with those words!
I think I read it is all free foods meat and vegetables but only 1 heb and 1 hea. No syns? Have I got that right. I have the food optimising book so only follow green days mainly but really don't want to fork out for an EE book if possible.
Thanks.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Hi larmy, you do have it more or less right! On EE you get everything that is free on red and green plus 1 HEA and 1 HEB plus you still get 5 - 15 syns per day. Any syned food that is used that has a different syn value on red or green is counted at the lower value. For instance if something is 4 syns on red but 48 syns on green you count it as 4 syns! It is good! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Thanks so much retiredlady for taking the time to post that - it does sound very good indeed! So basically you can have a meat curry with rice?Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Yes indeed you can. or spag bol with real mince & pasta! Its a lot like "normal" eating so very easy to forget you are even on a "diet"!
Any more questions just ask, soooo many friendly & helpful people on this thread!0 -
I felt a burst of joy reading that PrincessKate. Can't wait to get planning some meals now. I had the new Sw magazine but I just could not get my head round the EE without the basic rules. Much easier to cook for the family too. Great news!:jGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

That is correct, I should also add that for a quicker weight loss you should put 1/3 of superfree foods on your plate (superfree foods are foods that are free on both red and green days - ie most vegetables, eggs etc,.)When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

or as my consultant says - you can snack on the superfree foods to make it up. She doesn't worry about having them as part of the plate but makes sure that she snacks on superfree fruit etc.
