Hi everyone , I thought Id ask for any ideas for evening meals ?
I am getting a bit fed up with the same meals and know boredom is dangerous.
I lost 1 lb this week and was surprised when one of my neighbours stopped me this morning and said "wow you have lost weight".
I phoned the hospital for the results of my brain scan and was told "they should of gone out to you 2 weeks ago , then she said " oh , it seems yours have been held back for further investigation" . The stress of that made me want to turn to the biscuits and chocolate but I somehow controlled myself :A.
Today's menu (EE) ...
breakfast: 1 yogurt and a pear.
lunch: A omlette made with chopped up quorn sausages.
2 large "oat so simple" cookies.
Dinner: SW chicken curry and rice
Rice pudding (HEA)Kindness costs nothing0 -
thanks Olly
I know part of it is comfort eating - I'll be happier once I get to 12wks and see everything is ok on the scan - but I really don't want to undo all my hardwork and put any more weight on in the meantime
anyway well done you! 3lb is fantastichope the 100% days work as well for you next week too xx
Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j0 -

Mummydumpling, it must be hard for you to get motivated right now, you have been through the mill lately. I'm sure you will find a way to get into it soon :grouphug:

Hi and welcome.
There might be some stuff you can have on the buffet, chicken without skin or meat? If its just sausage rolls etc id def avoid them. Maybe you could take a packed lunch as you might struggle at the train station to find something appropriate. I always go for soup if im out and need to get something, they usually have lower syns than say a baguette. and if your doing EE then it will be easier to choose one.
Remember you still have syns to use, so at least have a wee treat so it wont feel like to missing out.
i had some ham, egg and salad for lunch so it was all ok.
tomorrows menu: extra easy again
b: one slice toast (HEB) banana (i have only got 800g loaf so am just having one slice - will get 400g loafs in future)
l: spag bol leftovers
s: banana
d: jacket and beans
will use milk for my (HEA)
i am just making do with food i have in for this week as i didn't plan for slimming world when i did my last big shop! will get loads of mullers and other fruit next time for snacks.0 -

Oats So Simple, Apple & Blueberry, dried, 36g sachet 6½
Oats So Simple, Golden Syrup, dried, 36g sachet 6½
Oats So Simple, Maple Flavoured Fruit & Nut, dried, 47g sachet 8½
Oats So Simple, Nuts, Seeds & Orchard Fruits, dried, 47g serving 8½
Oats So Simple, Original, dried, 27g sachet 5
Oats So Simple, Raspberry, dried, 35g sachet 6½
According to the SW website a 27g sachet of oatso simple original plus either 1 ryvita wholegrain or 1 scan bran is a HEB.
Hope this helps!0 -
I started slimming world last night and am trying to get my head around it. I usually make spag bol with some red wine in that I reduce to almost nothing, how does this count as syns? or am i better off leaving it out?
Thanks all0 -
If you want to use the red wine you would need to syn it I'm afraid. Even though the alcohol would burn off the sugar remains. If you don't want to use your syns on this then you can make a perfectly good bolognese sauce without using wine.0

I asked this question in class just a couple of weeks ago! I was told that it would have to be counted as syns. When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
