If you need any tips on swimming (improving stroke/getting more from your training) - let me know as i'm a level 2 asa qualified swim teacher lol and i have the asa parent and baby qualification :)

Thanks, I have Rheumatoid Arthtitis virtually all over:mad: and find that swimming helps a great deal:j, but am now finding that, because I only do breaststroke with my head out of the water (can't do the breathing thing:o) my back is suffering. I do not have the strength in my legs to do crawl/backstroke for any more than 1 length! Any advice/help you can give would be most gratefully received.

    TIA

You were really good :T :A I have been known to steal the salad ganish :rotfl: and the fruit bowls are often ignored by most people, so you get lovely fruit. Saying that, it IS really hard to resist the nibbly bits - I hope you are well rewarded :T

    Thanks!

Your right about the fruit platter - and the veg as well to be honest! I work in youth work/outbound pursuit field with lots of blokes who just laugh at salad and fruit and eat proper man food like pasties! :rotfl: (I'm not generalising bout all blokes!)

It is in a can & its amazing! Bout 70p, i warm it in a pan & mash it up a bit, have it with SW chips & its feels like such a treat!! You must all try it! Make sure its asdas one tho, i think sainsburys is something silly like 17 syns for the tin!!

Thankyou! I'm going to look at that next time I'm in Asda :D

One more question from me....Is there an SW eating out guide? I'm going for tea to Harvester tomorrow night and wanted to know how many syns things are. I'm planning on lots of salad from the salad cart, and was going to have the pasta with tomato sauce for main. The pasta is free - I do green days only as am veggie - so just wondering really bout the sauce cos it's bound to have oil in it.

Yes it really is as simple as that - almost! Any syns you have will be counted at the lower number ie. if something is 2 syns on green but 1,589 on red you count it as 2 syns. Some people have found that they do lose a little slower on EE but then others have found the opposite. I think the secret to a good loss on EE is to follow the suggestion of SW and try to fill 1/3 (at least) of your plate with superfree foods. Good luck!

Thanks for that - as it is so easy why doesn't everybody follow it rather than red and green days?

I've just had fried egg (with frylight), sin free sausage, bacon, mushrooms and a few saute potatoes and according to EE it was all free??!!

For me, it's because I like having 4 healthy extras, and cannot choose between milk, cheese and bread :) Also, I was eating less superfree foods and I think this had an impact on my weight loss. You just have to find the plan that works for you.

Thanks - I hadn't thought of it that way. :D

good evening all, afraid I haven't read any of the thread for a while, I went to my weigh in this evening amd lost 1/2 lb, I know it's a loss and that is good, but I really wanted to lose a bit more, I have bought the magazine and with that and the menus from the SW site, I have devised a mnu and am going to do an on-line order now. I will remember to order the ingredients for the curry as well. Not going don the van this weekend so will TRY and do an extra 15 mins on the Wii(haven't been on it for at least a week!!!)

Well done to all those who have lost this week.

Well done to everyone that has lost this week.
I haven't been to class the last two weeks and am thinking of going it alone.
  • Bit late in the day, but thought I should own up to my day :o.

forgive me forum members, for I have synned ...

Excuses first though - DD ( who has a host of medical stuff wrong) was very ill last night, and I was up every 2 hours with her 12/2/4/6 .. so I have spent today being totally knackered, and not up for much.

    Extra Easy
B cold Marions rice - toffee flavour yog with a chopped banana, fridged overnight :D, tea milk HA ... oH how the day starts so well :D

L KFC  two piece meal with chips and diet coke. (fries 7.5syns, chicken, no idea, but small cod from a chippy is 10, so say 20syns for the 2 pieces)

D Joes sausages (free) mash and broc, gravy, (4 syns?) small glass wine (5 syns) G&T (2.5 syns)

I make that about 40 syns and not enough B choices (maybe the oil should count towards that :rotfl:)

shall I just put today behind me and move on? :rotfl: I haven't had a day like this for nearly a YEAR (and I used to eat KFC weekly - 3 piece, large) so all in all maybe I should shake off the guilt and go to bed, get some rest, and be :A tomorrow ...
