Just got this from the lovely Niki on Minimins
    Ingredients
    9 syns for entire cake

    6 large eggs seperated
    2 oz of Splenda
    2 oz of cocoa powder

    Method
Preheat oven to 180c or 350f

Whisk the egg whites to the soft peak stage and set aside. Then place the egg yolks in another mixing bowl and whisk until they start to thicken, then add the splenda and continue to whisk until the mixture thickens slightly – but be careful not to get it too thick. Now mix the cocoa powder into the egg yolk mixture, if it gets too thick add a little of the egg white mixture. Next carefully cut and fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture – gently and thoroughly – then pour the mixture into the prepared tin.
Bake the cake on the centre shelf for 20-25 minutes until springy and puffy. When the cake is cooked, remove it from the oven but leave it in the cake tin to cool it will shrink quite a bit as it cools but don’t worry, that’s normal).
  • not had a good week - put on 2lbs but is prob due to the fact that I've just found out I'm expecting again after my m/c last month! :D I'm excited and scared all rolled into one but determined to try and stay positive.

I'm looking for some snack inspiration as I just want to eat all the time. I'm going to try snacking on fruit as much as poss but wondered what else I can reach for instead of buttery toast! LOL

What does everyone else spend their syns on? I tend to use mine on boring stuff like sugar, sauces, alpen lights and the occasional chicken chow mein. I need some inspiration as I'm sure I could be spending my syns more wisely and getting a better reward for them - been feeling a bit deprived lately and struggling to stick to plan so would appreciate some fresh ideas
thanks for your continuing support and inspiration on here

congratulations Mummy dumpling thats great news.
I save my syns for a kit kat in the evening or a wee glass of wine with dinner. Sometimes I buy the weight watchers carrot cake slices (2 1/2 syns each) as a wee treat I might have 2. I also use my syns on sauces and spreads. i try and limit my syns for sauces at under 4/5 then I spend 10 on something yummy. I used to have alpen lights as i could have 2, but these just didnt feel indulgent enough.
I enjoy my evening cuppa after the kids are in bed, so thats my time with something sweet.

Yes you can. Ive seen me eating 2 or 3 in a day, either Mullers or Shape lasting satisfaction.
I have read on here though some people eating a lot and not loosing and putting it down to the yogs.
I guess as long as you dont have say 10 everyday you should be ok. Remember that not all of them are free (most of them are though) I think Marion (retired lady) posted a list a couple of pages back.
