  • ...hides in the corner.... I fell off the SW wagon 2months ago when I moved into my own place. Combination of lots of yummy food to eat, and being too poor to afford to go to class. I've put on 6 pounds.

However I am ready to get back on it. I go on holiday to New Zealand in 10weeks so would like to maybe lose a stone by then. I still can't afford to go to class so I'm doing it myself from home. I'm veggie so do green days only.

    Today I had:

B - shreddies with skimmed milk
L - salad with some butter beans
D - Homemade celery soup (celery, onion, potato, veg stock from vecon and dill), with 2 slices of WM Nimble with LF margerine on.
Snacks - banana, orange, grapes, LF creme fraiche (2syns)

Yesterday I made a big bowl of salad which I should be able to take to work for next 2 days and have just boiled some pasta to go with it.

So hopefully I can stick with it for next 10weeks at least!

  • ps 2 quick questions from me

    1. Can the fritatta sashanut mentions be frozen? I have to use up some eggs before I go away with work next week so thought I would make one but would need to freeze at least half as it won't all get eaten this week.

    2. Can someone tell me which yogurts are free that have no bits in? other than muller lights. I can't seem to tolerate Muller Lights at the moment.

    TIA

I never think egg freezes very well, so I wouldn't try freezing frittata personally.

The Shape Satisfaction yogs are free I believe. Look for ones which are very low fat or fat free to indicate syn-free as a rule.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Hey flutterbyuk- I am also veggie (vegan) and cannot afford to go to class, so just do it myself at home. I find it fine as I motivate myself by weighing myself on a fri morn, I am so determined this time. I have lost 2.5 stone in 10 weeks so done pretty well so far, now just another 1.5 to lose, then the mammoth task of keeping the weight shifted! Eeeek!

Keep posting on here for your support, it really helps me when I'm feeling like synning big time. :)

One thing I find really helps me, not sure where I heard it but if I feel like a biscuit I will tell myself I can have it, but I'm choosing not to have it! :)

I'm not sure egg freezes that well either - maybe you could eat them before you go - have omlettes for dinner or hard boiled eggs as snacks?

    Thanks for your reply.

I know SW works as I've lost 3stone on it, and kept most off. I just need to get back into the habits!

And thanks for reply re eggs. I didn't think they froze well but then you do get frozen quiche so I wasn't sure. I'll just make HB eggs or Omlette and do the frittata another time.

You can use bovril or chicken bovril for stock - or marmite!
Lentil and ham would be ok on EE - all the veg ones would be free on both.
Need to see full list of ingredients really to see what needs synning!
