Hi Frankie, Potatoes are not free on red but you could have them as a Healthy extra (HE) . What skint catt was saying was that your daily menu looks good for and Extra easy day rather than red. if you do extra easy (EE) then you can eat all the borlotti beans and potatoes you like, along with your chicken. The only difference is you only have one healthy extra a (HEA) and one healthy extra b (HEB) in the day rather than 2.

I hope that makes sense? SW can be hard to get to grips with but in a couple of weeks youll have it sussed. I still need to check on things.

When you have time go and read your books again, especially the EE one. You shouldnt be hungry as you can eat as much free foods as you like. I mainly have green days so I eat lots of pasta. At night when Im peckish I make SW chips and make a dip with Fromage frais and a wee bit sweet chilli sauce. Not only yummy but free on green and EE (apart from the chilli sauce, about 1/2 syn for that)

Dont be hungry or stuck, ask and well try and help.
As I dont really understand it I guess I am doing red days, I didnt realise borlotti beans were bad for me....ughhh...so guess they have been my sins, I didnt think i could have pots on a red day without them being a sin.

And as I had a drinks do Tuesday I thought using my syns was better for that, and supper last night..

Abbreviations I dont undertand on the SW website are on the free foods section..

no need to delete, I popped out at lunch time to the supermarket after I had eaten my salad, and was getting tempted. So I went to the hot chicken counter and bought 1/4 chicken which sustained me for the rest of the day. long with a yummy per. Supper was a baked pot with large tsp of fat free yog with green beans and broccoli and a skate wing(which wasnt nice). Chucked 1/2 pot and 1/2 the skate out ate all my veggies. I hope I have done alright.

frankie I don't like skate either - it's got a very amonia taste & smell! I got mackerel instead this week and it's yummy! Don't forget on a red day you have to weigh your jacket potato- but as you threw half away you should have been ok if you didn't!

Frankie - Don't throw that half a potato away, any left over veg (carrots, cabbage, potatoes, onion) is lovely fried in fry light till it gets
a bit crispy add some seasoning and its really tasty this would be on a green day.
When I have a roast dinner I chop up raw onions and mix with vinegar, this makes the dinner yummy and free as well
Redbull - for your sweet tooth, a lovely dessert is choc skinny cow with chopped up banana (5 syns) or for a free dessert put muller light in freezer (give it a few stirs) and chopped up banana

I think my problem is I dont decide what kind of day I am doing far enough in advance, (not planning), is making it difficult, but I guess that the story of my life.

Today, I had porridge made with water and a banana
the usual salad with sliced ham,
    the fruit
and for supper well I think its going to be spag bol, which I have in the freezer, so I must weigh the pasta?
