    Hi Aarani :hello:

What's jog? Is it on the Wii? I've never heard of it myself but one item I've looked at is the walking monitor for Nintendo DS - it comes with a pedometer and you can download your results so you keep track of your activity.

    Hi :hello:

Thanks for the reply Catt. It sounds similar to that actually. Its for the Wii and you clip it into your controller then somehow you control what the character on screen does! So if you want them to move, you have to jog on the spot. Seems like good fun! I saw it on the gadget show a while ago, they seemed to like it so ill probably try it out and let you know how I get on! :j

Ok, borlotti beans aren't BAD for you - they're just not a free food (or a Healthy Extra) ona red day! Your potato's on a red day would either be a Healthy Extra (with the skins on as New Pots or Jacket - see your book for weights) or syns, yes but they are free on Extra Easy which I thought you were doing because of the beans.

Abbreviations are explained on the first few pages -
C or CC - these foods are a good or very good source of calcium
F or FF - these foods are high or extra high in fibre (so filling and good for digestion)
H or HH - these foods are particularly nutritious and are vital for good health
S or SS - are low or extra low in energy density and have speed slimming power!!

On a red day stick to meat, fish & poultry (unmarinated or processed in anyway), salads, loads of veggies (excluding potatos, parsnips, peas & sweetcorn), eggs, fruit plus your Healthy Extra's - weighed and measured out of the book (these are cheese & milk, bread, cereals etc)

Ona green day stick to dried pasta, rice, potato's, quorn, eggs and veg (all) and fruit and weigh & measure your milk, cheese, cereal/bread, meat, fish & poulty for your Healthy Extra's.

Does this help at all? I hope you're filling in a food diary for your consultant - she can probably explain it better when she see's you than I can on here!

    C xx

I think you explained it better than she did, thanks very much

On a green day can yu have as much as you like of pasta, rice, etc?

frankie, glad you understood me - sometimes I ramble on and type too fast!

Yes on a green day dried pasta (not the fresh filled yummy stuff!), rice and potato's are unlimited and unweighed - and on red day meat, fish and poultry are unweighed.

If you want to post your menu plan each day before you eat it we can make sure it's alright? But only if you want! :) I try and eat as 'free' as possible at each meal but you do need to make sure yu get your Healthy Extra's int here somewhere - for health!
e.g. - green day - egg & baked beans for brekkie, packet of Pasta n Sauce or Savoury Rice for lunch (or make my own pasta sauce from tomato's & veggies), and a Quorn curry or chilli with rice for dinner.
Red day I have - bacon & mushrooms (and/or egg) for brekkie, tuna/chicken/prawn salad or sarnie (with 2 slices of Nimble bread HEb) and meat and veg for dinner with a jacket potato as my other HEb if I fancy it!
Snacks are - syn free yoghurts, fruit, sugar free jelly, cheese on toast (if I need to use a HEa & HEb), hard boiled eggs, laughing cow light triangles etc etc!

Ive only tried it with the skinny cow sachets and its lovely , sometimes I add splenda to make it extra sweet. I was wondering if those hundreds and thousands type of thing would go with it  to make it feel really naughty.
    Kindness costs nothing :)

Hi all :santa2:, glad to see everyone in a more postive mood :T:T .
Well all i can say weres the cold come from  , i'm really cold at work at nights now , so today out came my slow cooker and i hit the pot with every veg & herb i had , plus steak , lentles , plus leftover bacon , it was so good and all free on e/e :j:j.
So if you don't have a slow cooker just stick all in a big pot on your stove and , happy days , i'm taking a big flask with me for work tonight , and tomorrow i'll take some out of the pot and blend it down to a soup and add some laughing cows to make it creamy for lunch tomorrow & work that night .

Nooo, I've heard of Cleckheaton, I have. I can't think where it is though :rotfl:

Mirry - easiest cheesecake recipe in the word....mix a sachet of white chocolate Options into quark with sweetener to taste. Spread thickly onto a digestive biscuit........maybe a bit too yummy, but try to stick at one (3½ syns) :D

Oh grief peachy, not Santa yet please!!!!!!! The stew sounds delish though :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
