  • Thanks all. It really does help to read your encouragement!

Iv been floating round the same weight for what feels like ages now! Was doing really well when i started in march! Im 4 pound more than the lowest iv been this time, iv done SW a lot!! Suppose it is still 24 pounds off!

Last week i put a pound on, drew a line under it & was perfect all week, had a sneeky weigh on friday & cud tell id put on, worked friday night, didnt go to bed when i got home for some crazy reason & just sat & ate all day! Big bowls of muslie, choc bars, crisps, everything!

Really annoyed me cos losing weight means a lot to me! I dont wanna stay the size i am now but im so easily swayed to cheat! Im currently craving a bagel but im not gonna do it! Have to remember how good it feels to get on the scales & have lost! Much better than eating a bagel & much much better than putting on!!!

Havent got a day off from work for 3 weeks now, not 1 :( and im back in uni, doing my masters part time so it all just feels like iv trying to do too uch & the "diet" is often the 1st thing that gets messed up!!! Got a flat full of SW friendly stuff, few naughty bits have snuck in too which tempts me but i must be strong!!

Bit peckish but im gonna go to bed & not think about it!!

    Thanks all! Kate xx

Morning everyone, just realised I forgot to post my weigh in this week. I put on half a pound which isn't bad considering the packets of biscuits I managed to get through! What ever demon was driving me last week seems to have gone now so am hoping for a much better result in next weeks weigh in.

    Later
    Marion

I have just found this thread and thought I would join and share my story.

I decided to go back to Slimming World on 30 July this year. DD was rapidly approaching her 18th birthday, and I had reached the same weight I was when she was born 10st. As I am only 4'10", carrying an extra 25% in body weight is no good.

In 9 weeks, I have lost 7 1/2 lbs, which I am happy with - (that does include going to New York for 1 week, putting on 4 lbs and having to lose them again). However, I am bored with what I am eating. I tend to have chopped fruit, Alpen and 0% Total yoghurt for breakfast with a cup of tea or occassionally scrambled eggs with cherry toms, all using frylight. Lunch is normally an M&S tomato santini salad with either tuna or chicken. I try to eat a couple of apples during the day as well. When I get home, if I am hungry, then I will have a couple of Ryvita with mini babybel.

Supper is where it gets harder and more so in the winter. In the summer, DH normally bbq's most nights, fish, chicken, sausages, burgers, etc, and we always have salads.

With both the kids now at uni, I am only preparing a meal for 2. We have grilled fish, salmon, sea bream or sea bass, a couple of nights with vegetables and I normally give my husband a jacket potato or boiled pots. Friday night is always roast chicken with all the trimmings - I have not eaten one of my roast potatoes in years! I can either do chicken breats in the George Foreman or under the grill. I have just found the recipe for syn free roasted tomato sauce, so am going to try that with the last of the tomatos from the garden.

Basically, I am getting bored with what I am eating, and could do with some inspiration. The other minor problem is that I keep kosher and therefore cannot mix meat and milk.
