  • I joined slimming world a good 10 odd years ago and managed to lose about 5 stone; but have since managed to put 4 of it back on...and I've had it! I shall be joining slimming world again tomorrow evening and WILL be losing it again.

I am currently 19st something (will find out tomorrow I guess) so initially will aim for my 10% loss which in itself is pretty big. I have only just bought some new clothes as well, but when I decide to do something, then I generally just go for it.

I have been reading quite a few pages and it's great to see so much support and also menu ideas. Things have changed quite a bit since I did this last time, and there are more varieties of Muller Light now as well :rotfl:

If it's ok, I will try and post my WIs weekly in order to get a bit of extra support and hopefully a bit of a kick up the rear to keep me going.

Hope to talk to you all soon

  • :grouphug: Thanks Catt and peachy your support is very gratefully accepted. In answer to your question peachy, yes, being the time of the month is the only thing i can really think of. It really took me by surprise putting 2 and a half on i was feeling so positive ( but bloated too so maybe should have known). Have spoken to my consultant and she cant see anything in my food diaries so i will just have to wait until next week to see if anything changes.
I have to admit on my way home i was tempted to call at the chippy i was so confused and upset was thinking whats the point! but i did resist, i came home and ate 3 ryvitas instead lol ( bad girl!! )
Good luck all with WI's and the week.

OLLY :T:T:T:Tgo girl , how bad would you feel after eating the chips and what ever else you decided on , and making even harder on yourself to get it off .
My mother in law after class go and has a take away as a treat , undoing all the good shes done and giving herself an even harder uphill battle to get the weight off .
Olly i'm proud of you girl , please stay focused and you will see a difference , peachy x

    Hi Ollyredcat!

it doesn't say what kind of mackerel in the recipe - I just assumed it was the kind you get in the packets, shrink wrapped in the chiller cabinet  Anyhow I have just checked in my Syns book ' Shop to slim at Tesco' which is the only one I have; & mackerel fillets chilled are free per 100g; Mackerel fillets smoked with crushed peppercorns are 0.5 syns per 100g - so shared between 2 of us, might have been 1/4 to 1/2 a syn ??

    HTH:D

Edited to say - this syn value was on RED, but I was doing an EE day. On green the sysns were 11/100g & 15/100g with peppercorns.
New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear

Ooh Princess Kate - don't give up! Is there any reason you can think of that you might have put on? Time of the month? Not measuring anything? Nibbles you didn't count? Hugs to you
