JAMTART , this is the pack you get at class , couldn't you just go and join and get the pack & any recipey books form class you mite need , it would save you a fortune , why not see if you can take a friend with you

As long as you don't go back to the same class as before with the same consultant you should hopefully be ok. As Peachy said, go for one class to get all the books and Food Directory (theres no law that says you have to go back again). You would also get the password to get access to the website, which is helpful too. Plus, you never know, you may find a different group or consultant much nicer and really enjoy it. You could always start by saying "I know I only have x stones/x pounds to lose but I am struggling, which is why Im here".

Good luck with the Slimming World plan whatever you do.
  • jamtart, i wish i had done something about it before i got to this size ( although my lightest as an adult is 16 stone) i think people should think first and judge a lot later. Good luck on your quest and always come on here for support :-) a pound, a stone, ten stone, we are here for all .

  • Hope this is what you want:-

Scan Bran Chocolate Cake 1 Healthy ‘B’ and 6½ syns

    5 Scan Bran (HEB)
    28g cocoa powder (4½ syns)
1 level tbsp. Golden syrup (2 syns)
    15g powdered sweetener
    2 eggs, beaten
Break scan bran into small pieces then sprinkle on hot water. Leave a few minutes then break up with a fork, until scan bran resembles breadcrumbs (use extra hot water as necessary). Stir in the cocoa powder, syrup and sweetener. Mix in the beaten egg and stir well.
Line a loaf tin with foil and spray with Frylight. Bake for 25-30 minutes in a medium oven (190c).
    OR
Place in a microwavable container and microwave on high for 5 minutes.

PERFECT! That's the one... thank you very much! :j
  • Hello I am fairly new to the MSE forums and a constant on/off SW class attender. I lose half a stone really well and start to sabotage myself lose a pound gain a pound then give up. I then go back a couple of months later.

At the moment I am not attending class as I have not got the spare cash to rejoin and pay for a weekly class. i will be rejoining a class when I can afford to as I enjoy the social side of the class but am thinking of going back to a different class where no-one knows me as a returning bad penny so to speak.

But for now I though I would check this thread out but I don't think I will be going back to the beginning - a few too many pages for me to catch up on I think

Evening all, not had a good day........been thinking about Dad alot which upset me and I ended up eating a Cadbury Caramel bar! how many syns do they have?

I also need to stop myself from stepping on the scales every five minutes! I checked this morning and was annoyed to see I'm 2lb heavier than Sunday, is it normal for your weight to go up and down like that in the week?

I know I am new on here but just had to post.

I read your original post on your reason for joining and my heart goes out to you as I lost my Darling Pops in February 2008. It is still so new for you and things will get you down as you will miss him so much.

I have to say I am very impressed with just the one Caramel (not to many syns really depending on what else you had the same day) I would have had about 4 at one time.

I don't know what happened to get to you but I found myself last week sat in the kitchen floor in floods of tears as my Dad always used to mend my bike and it has a puncture and I hate to admit it I can't mend them and Dad always did them for me. I said to hubby you'll have to take it to Pops for me then realised what I had said. I sent hubby to shop for the biggest bar of choc he could find (luckily I am not on plan at the moment).

Whenever you feel down think of the reason you are doing the plan and remember the post earlier on the bunch of flowers. It is just one day back on plan and no problem.

    (((((hugs)))))

  • Thanks for the welcome. I am one of these people who need to go to class as I know I cheat like mad when I try to do it at home.

I don't have many 'real life' friends ( all my good friends live in the internet) so enjoy the chance to talk to people at the class - I am a childminder so my daily conversations tend to be with children.

Hopefully I can contribute to this forum in some way and look forward to getting to know you all.
