Diamondgirl - Hi-Fi's are to die for - but they are HEb's aswell as syns. You will use more syns as you get used to the diet and relax a little so don't worry too much at the mo - just explain you were being careful to start with! (So many things have hidden syns!)

My first weigh in too tonight (third time at SW) and I think I've done ok - new trousers bought last week are falling down  :rotfl:
  • Hi everyone,

I have been reading your posts over the last week and have found your ideas, diaries and recipes really useful.

I rejoined SW 3 weeks ago, after being on WW for 10 months, where I managed to lose 3 stone of post baby fat, but am struggling with the last 17lbs.

My daughter has just turned 1 and I was really hoping to reach my target of 9st by now. I found that I was always hungry on ww and kept going over my daily points allowance, whereas with sw I am always full. I have done sw in the past, so have slipped back into it without any real problems.

I have lost 2lbs in the last 2 weeks (was never a big loser on sw) and have my next weigh in on Thursday morning, so hoping for at least another 1lb off. ;)

  • Hi mirry,

I've always cooked my chicken without oil, I drizzle fresh lemon juice, chilli flakes and some salt and pepper on it and cover in foil and cook. I always skin mine after cooking to stop it drying out.

Also if anyone knows of HE's that are not in the book they will be very helpful too.

Has anyone used filo pastry before ?
I have made some apple wraps and they are in the oven now .

The pastry is 5.5 syns a sheet.

Does anyone know how many syns are in 4 tablespoons of cooked apple ?

Evening all, not had a good day........been thinking about Dad alot which upset me and I ended up eating a Cadbury Caramel bar! how many syns do they have?

I also need to stop myself from stepping on the scales every five minutes! I checked this morning and was annoyed to see I'm 2lb heavier than Sunday, is it normal for your weight to go up and down like that in the week?

Liz3yy - sorry to hear you were upset about your dad - 12 syns isn't the end of the world - believe me when I'm upset I could do a lot worse!
2lbs is normal for your body to go up and down in a week - mine goes up and down by 4lbs in a day!
And for my first WI I lost 6.5lbs! I have LOTS to lose hence I always have big weight losses in my first week but it's a start as I initially wanted 1 stone gone by 7 Nov & 2 stone by Xmas. Should be achievable with 2lb a week from now on! Fingers crossed.
Well done to any other losers out there

    C xx
