Someone Correct me if Im wrong but working out the milky way cake bar online:
511 kcal per 100g
5g protein
30.6g fat
53.8g carbs
and I think each bar is 3.5g which makes it 1 syn per bar?0 -

Ive been good today had the breakfast rice for breakfast so free on the green
Went to pub with work for lunch and had jacket and prawns with no sauce and salad with is b choice for the prawns
Quorn burger dinner with no gravy for tea
and fruit if i need it later.
Can anyone reccomend green syn free recipies??? with simple ingredients?:A :j0 -
Wow 1 syn - that's too good to be true! They are 146 kcals each so I'm guessing closer to 7.5!

Hi Karren, one of my faves is 3 bean chilli (Oct 08 mag ) i posted it here a couple of months back, if noone posts a link ill type it up later. Its simple, free and very yummy.
I also made veggie stir frys all the time, I love making them with loads of chillis, lemon, ginger and garlic, served with noodles.
I love quorn chicken pieces in a curry, syn free recipes online.
Cheese, onion and other veg omlettes.
Quorn mince spag bol.
these all quick meals I have in my head and make as back up if i cant think of anything to make. if you want any recipes let me know and ill type them up later when the kids are in bed. thanks nic, im going to read through here again for inspiration, i may make the baked bean lasagne tom and have some for lunch before work then leave the rest for the family with jackets. that shouls all be free then?
I do eat meat but not an awful lot, i have bought a load of quorn things and will try to use them up before i go on the red days, i have 3.6 stones to lose and want to lose a bit before christmas so that i can feel good about myself x:A :j0 -
I made a baked bean curry once - there was enough (following the reciepe) to feed two armies but god it was yummy!
Having a quorn curry tomorrow but I love my pasta - a nice spicy kidney bean pasta sauce was my fave
karren - you can eat quorn on red too so don't be in a rush to use them up!0 -

I am just checking in to say that as of Monday this week I'm doing SW at home properly - have loads of books & just bought the new mag. Have lost 1.5lbs already & pleased with that, would like to lose steadily at least up to Christmas. Had a bit of a slip-up on Tues (DH's birthday) curry & wine out then a few chocs later - but not too bad really. :eek:
Today I used Quark to make mackerel pate (in the magazine) & it was lovely, both DH & I really enjoyed it & it was so simple to do. I had mine on Ryvita as per the mag but he had it on rolls, lovely. Got back late tonight so for tea will have a jacket spud with something, but need to plan for tomorrow.New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 :eek:. Evening all, I'm back on track today after my chocolate scoffing the other day and a few too many syns yesterday. I had two tortilla wraps with dinner then realised today they have about 8 syns each, doh!
