Hi tia , don't be so hard on yourself :grouphug::grouphug:, we all have been like you lately , theres times when we all feel , stuff it , why should i not eat & drink what i want , i'm sick off being on a diet .
But then come the summer & going out , holiday , we dread them , get ourselfs worked up , because we don't look or feel we look right in what we wear ,so we turn to , chocolate, drink , cakes for comfort and then feel even more down on ourselfs , because it only made you feel good for that night or moment you were eatting it .
We all have to decide why we are slimming , is it for you or a partner or to just fit into what people thinks the right size and shape :mad:to be accepted .
If its the last two your putting to much of a presure on yourself before you start , iv'e done this in the past ( what for ) thinking my hubby won't fancy me because my weights gone back on , can't go out with my mates iv'e not seen in a while , because my weight gone on and there judge me , so iv'e made up reasons not to go out with them and got even more down on myself ( hit the choc, wine , crips , take aways) its all a vicious circle .
TIA , you have to decide why you wan't to do this hun and it has to be for you , thats what iv'e done, stuff everyone else and what they think , i've had to give myself a big big kick up the ar-- and say YOU ARE GONNA DO IT THIS TIME and stop this mindset that makes me unhappy and stops me enjoying my life to the full .
Well i'm now back at class and i'm not putting to much presure on myself , there will be weeks when i don't lose and weeks when i stay the same , but i will get there , I'M DOING IT FOR ME :T:jAND HUN YOU CAN TOO .
So please get your books out go back to basics , write everything down , plan your shopping , your meals , stick lables on your syned food so you know straight away what syns you've had & put it on your food diary straight away & i keep saying hit the water big time or quash .
Come on here and give idears , recipey , let us know how your doing , join in , and together we can all do it , for us:obut i know how down i've been over my diet and the way iv'e been its a downward spiral and i'm only trying to help , and i just wanted tia to know she's not alone :owe all feel and have days when we could just give up & i don't want her to , if she straggling pop on were help .

Hey Peach, that was a great post to Tia! I really needed a bit of a motivational pep talk too, so thanks.
Hi Tia - I am feeling exactly like you at the moment, have just lost the plot this weekend and do sometimes get sick of it all.
Well tomorrow is another day, as they say.
Thanks to all here, I am a lurker who posts occasionally and find it really helpful.0 -
Hi all, good luck for the week and chin up to anyone who is feeling out of sorts with themselves.
I have a question, does anyone find that focussing or getting things done is really hard when its the time of year for a season change? ie spring and autumn are very bad for me, i feel like i'm being pulled in different directions its very hard to explain.
Lol probably just me thats a bit strange lol.

Wow! I've never been able to put my finger on it exactly, but yes!! I used to feel really really motivated in Sept as at uni or school and it was like a fresh start, but the last few years I have felt, not down, but not myself. Very dis-motivated and lazy in a sense. Everything feels like a struggle, even simple tasks. Then I get into the swing of winter and then comes spring, I feel like I've been caught on the hop. Don't have the right clothes for the season (I hate short sleeves etc due to carrying extra weight.) and always feel as if I should have done something about the weight over winter so I could be 'happy' in the summer. I'm hoping this year will be different. I will be smaller (if I can maintain my weight loss, and hopefully lose a bit more,) and if I reach my target size of a straight 14 (ie not trousers with a stretch in, proper jeans with no give iyswim) I'm a 14/16 atm, then I will have a fab new wardrobe! ha ha! Dreamy time!
Does everyone feel as though once their extra weight has been lost, they will miraculously have shed load's of money to buy all the clothes they have ever wanted, or is it just me? ha ha!0 -
Morning All
Well I was meant to have multi quotes on here but they don't seem to have arrived or when i post it could al go made, anyway I'll carry on with out the help of modern technology.
To start with I'm glad its not just me. I've had a weekend of good and bad (all started friday) I haven't over syned but i haven't been saving then up to make up a little for friday night either.
Also do other people find the weekends really difficult, I mean like i have been good all week I deserve to treat myself which you do on friday night with wine maybe and then on saturday it is a struggle to shake this approach until monday arrives and its a new week - probably just me
Also due to friday I'm not sure if I will have lost anything, but i have 3 days to drink lots of water eat lots of veg and have a few syns.
Today for something different I have tried mini shredded wheat (HE) with fat free yoghurt, just for something diiferent as breakfasts is one meal i really struggle with. got a ham sald for lunch with celery and radishes to snack on plus an apple and a fat free yoghurt if needed. milk is my other HE and for tea i am going to cook one of the free curries in the magazine - should be yummy will let you know how i get on.
Well done to all who have lost and welcome all who are new.
Hope you all have a good day (keep on fighting the good fight)

Morning all, thats for all the kind words of encouragment. Im starting afresh today and will have to be focussed or ill be this wobbly forever lol.
I went on Freegle yesterday and was offered an exercise bike, Ill pick it up later, so will be infront of the tv cycling away tonight. That might be the extra kick i need, as ive always felt i need to exercise along with SW so I tone up as well. Sometimes I would get frustrated when even when id lost weight im not doing anything energetic to help my muscles and heart etc.
today ill go for green and have
B - 2 weetabix with SS milk and banana
L - baked potato and beans and cheese
D - quorn spag bol
snacks - fruit and yoghurt, my extra HEB will be some toast for supper maybe with some jam (1 1/2 syns)
will try and drink more water and do at least 15-20 mins on the bike.

Im having a green day today. Is it correct that I can have 2 slices of wholemeal bread as healthy extra b and also 85g extra lean minced beef (cooked weight) as my 2nd heb? Or have I got to syn the mince? I was thinking of doing cottage pie for tea.0

beachbeth - you are allowed 57g of wholemeal bread as i HEB and then the mince as well on a green day. hth
Peachy that was a great post you made to Tia, kicked me up the backside!
Fannyannie - I've had a very bad weekend too. I think I drunk about 3 weeks worth of syns on Sat night, along with buffet food then Sun DD1 had a party where there was even more buffet food!! It was a skating party though and, for the first time in about 25 years I put on a pair of skates!!! Was very funny to start with, everyone had to help me as I couldn't stop wobbling but, by the end of the party I was skating round on my own! DD1 has a very sore bottom today!! She's never been before. Me and a friend have decided to go skating 1 or 2 times a week as exercise, my legs are killing me today!!!
Some good came out of it but I'm having no syns till weigh in on Thurs.Need to sort my life out! :T0
