you must be feeling fantastic - and even more impressive as you're doing it alone!
I've gone down from a size 24 to a size 18 and feel so much better for it - want to be in a size 16 before xmas. I'm 5'8" and for a long time never believed that a size 16 would be within my grasp. I have a size 16 dress hanging on my wardrobe door and that is my next goal.
Wow! Well done you, that is great going, I think thats a realistic target, go you! :j Oooh! The dress sounds nice. Whats it like? Do you find it helpful to have a goal item of clothing? I was wondering this the other day, as all my clothes are falling off me, but I'm loathe to buy more until I am at my goal as it is fairly attainable IMO.
My original goal was not weight related I just wanted to fit into a size 14, but I thought that would take me about a year, the fact that it has taken 6 weeks instead is amazing, and now I feel as if I could lose at least another stone before xmas. I hope to lose another 2 stone overall but know the last stone can be a real pain to shift!0 -
I do find it helpful to have a next-size-down item of clothing to aim for - going from trying it on and its not close to fitting to actually being able to wear it is a great feeling - and even if I try it on and it doesnt fit yet I can see how much closer it is to fitting than the last time I tried it on
the dress I'm aiming for now is a classic fitted dress that I bought a few years ago cos I loved the fabric - it was only about £2(!!!) from the catalogue bargain shop and I was planning on using the fabric to make something out of but couldn't bring myself to do it - good job nowIts a summer dress really - white with cath-kidston-style roses on it - but I will be wearing it when it fits even if its snowing LOL. I actually have another in size 12 that I bought at the same time but cant imagine ever being that slim yet - but you never know, I could be fitting in that next summer...

Hi all, im a lurker & sometimes poster!
Been doing SW since march for the 5th time i think! Lost 2 stone, for my brothers wedding which was 2 weeks ago & i was in a sixe 14 dress rather than the 18 I would have been in which was fab. My problem is I keep having 1 good week and then 1 bad so im not really getting anywhere at the mo! Life is getting in the way a bit, annoying cos the feeling of gettin on the scales & seeing a good loss is fab, 3 pound last week, tho tomorrows WI is not gonna be good news! I have done my meal planning for the week tho so hopefully this will be a good week & will get me back on track!
I'd really love to get another stone off before crimbo tho!

fernliebee wrote: »Aw! Thanks! I only do green days and I mainly try and stay free and H extras in the daytime and save my points for the evening if I feel like something naughty, or if not then I save them up for the weekend and then have a chow mein from the chinese, or some other treat. To that end I have fruit for brekky, and drink 2 pints of water, I wait until I actually feel hungry though as I'm trying to re-learn my hunger/ thirst reflexes as this is what has got me into trouble so far. I then have either leftover meal from night before, beans on toast, baked spud and beans, big salad, or sandwich using HEB bread for lunch with another pint or two of water, then for my main meal I have a very big dinner and I often make it free or as free as poss, and I make extra so if I feel like a snack in the eve I can have a bit more in a bowl!
Main meals that I eat that I make free on green days are:
Stuffed peppers with brown rice. (I make a bolognaise sauce, cut peppers in half stuff them and bung them in the oven covered in foil for about 30 mins and make some rice. It's my fave! Yummy! If you eat cheese then you could add your HEA or HEB allowance on top)
Shepherds pie. I make it with frylight for the onions then finish off the sauce and don't put any butter in the mash so it is free.
Curry and rice. I use frylight to get the onions going and then just add veg and curry powder and spices etc. I also sometimes use some points to add coconut milk- cos it's sooooo yummy!
Pasta with bolognaise sauce,
Chilli and rice.
Baked potatoes with a red sauce with lots of veg,
Lot's of veg with a Linda McCartney sausage (I would have quorn but I'm vegan and quorn has egg in it)
As I said above I think it is easier for me as I don't have any dairy, and also I don't drink so that is two less things for me to use my syns up with. Also I've said before on here, I prefer to give stuff up completely rather than have a little bit, so it does make it easier that there are lot's of things I can't eat as I get into the habit of saying 'no thanks' when ppl offer me things!
Anyway I've rattled on long enough! Lol!
sorry just starting again at sw and i need to start loosing to give me the boost to stick with it.....0 -

:j Hi welcome back! :j
You are in the same position as many of us on here - especially me!
Don't ever feel ashamed - you are making positive steps to make a change and you should be proud of yourself.
I am the same as you - I lose interest after a while, I have been attending SW classes since I was 12 years old (I'm 35 now) and my weight has been up and down all of my life. I dont know what it will take for me to have a consistent weight loss and keep it off but I can only keep tryingYou can stand there and agonize........
Till your agony's your heaviest load. (Emily Saliers)0
