Where is the best/cheapest place to get silken tofu? I've just gone dairy free and still trying to get my head around making low syns stuff minus the milk/cheese etc.

Hello, I joined slimming world early July for the 6 week course.
I was very impressed and lost 7lb.
I went on holiday for 2 weeks at the end of August and havent been since. I've tried doing it myself at home but haven't lost anymore weight.
I did Extra Easy.
Are people allowed to give the slimming world passwords on here, I think their site is great.
Thankyou so much xx
It's always much harder doing it yourself - you need to be extra disciplined but it can be done if you're committed enough.
I'm afraid you cannot post the password on a public site. This is something that memebers pay for as part of their weekly fee, it wouldn't be fair for others to get such an excellent resource for nothing, would it?
Ninno820 - wow, that's fantastic, I hope you're very proud of yourselfI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Marion - its good to see you are about, you were such a help to me last time.
I have done the same I lost almost 2 stone at SW - stopped going and put it all on plus 2lb's!!!
I was shocked when I got weighed last Saturday so i got straight back on the plan.
My first weigh in today and I have lost 7lb's ! I was so pleased.
How the hard bit - keep sticking at it........
Today so far had:
2 Weetabix & S/S Milk
Mushroom Stir Fry - with fry lite
a Twirl!!!!!!!! (took kids shopping and got in a rage - chocolate helped)
Well done guys for some great losses - keep it up. x:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
So with syns, if I have more syns than i should today, but only had 5 or 6 in the last 3 days, do you think that would be ok?
It's not an enourmous amount of syns, just 2 slices of white bread
I'm going to try and not have anymore syns today.
I tend to only use them for sauces anyway, or things like Ainsleys cous cous.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Afternoon all, weigh in was this morning and as I feared I've gained back 1 of the 5lb I lost last week, it's annoying but no surprise considering I hardly stuck to the plan most of the week.
Thank you to everyone who left me messages of comfort and support, I will make it work this week and despite having a day out today I've on track again, having a jacket potato and cheese for lunch instead of the greasy burger I'm normally attracted to.
I'm enjoying a cup of tea and wondering what to have for dinner, something with pasta I think as I fancy sticking to a green day today.
Just a thought, I had quite a lot of cheese on my potato at lunch, a lot more than the 28gms that are allowed for a healthy extra, I'm wondering if I should count any syns to be on the safe side? They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Thats the way I work my syns and it has always worked ok for me.
If I have too many one particular day I have less the other days.
You are not supposed to save them all up and have a blow out once a week, but I know people that do and it seems to work out ok.
But its better if you can spread them out evenly all week. Its a great system because if you do have something you had not planned for you dont have to give in and scrap your eating plan and say s*d it - you can just start again the next day.

Liz3yy, I am sure we all have times when we lose it and have to get back on track - I know I do. Then I try to plan my meals and give myself a fresh start next day.
As long as the general trend of your weight is downwards, a little hiccup now and again is understandable, and you are doing so well otherwise! Don't let one bad day sabotage all your hard work.
When is your WI, btw?
Thank you, and you're right, I'm not going to let one bad day or two ruin things for me.
I have to remind myself that I'm almost a stone lighter than I was 4 years ago and that's the most important thing.
I would love to be another stone lighter by Xmas, think I can do it?They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Of course you can!! Thats about a pound a week until christmas which is a very realistic goal. You can stand there and agonize........

Right, I'm setting myself the challenge then to shift the weight once and for all. I have slightly high blood pressure and my dear Dad recently died from a heart attack so I don't need any more motivation.

Someone gave me this on this site some time ago and I printed it and had it on my office wall - think it's worth sharing again:...
When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
And forget all about being healthy and thin.
So What! You went over your Syns a bit,
It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back in your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
If you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the strugglers, when loosing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
That the race wasn't over...they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
But facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,
If you bite it, you write it....But don't you quit! You can stand there and agonize........
