The menu I gave up above was a example of mixing green / red free food.

If I was having that I would have lots of veg with it.

I just want to know if you can mix them like that , cos my friend said I would have to have the salmon as a HEB .

I am sure I have read it right and just wanted to know what others think ?

Your friend is wrong I think. She is perhaps one of those who is scared of going against all we were taught about sticking to Original or Green ALL day.

Your menu is fine, and although the third of a plate of super-free foods isn't mandatory, it does make for a nice steady weight loss.

Someone mentioned a while ago that their consultant used to say "start the day the Slimming World way" which I think means that at least you can start off on the plan even if you fail later and then start afresh again the following day.

However, I was wondering if you start the day on the plan and then by teatime are scoffing chocolate and crisps etc won't this mean that you will have consumed more calories for that day than you would if you just ate the things you normally do?

    I hope you know what I mean!:o

:rotfl:I'm not sure I do know what you mean, but if you end every day scoffing chocolate and crisps you wouldn't tend to lose much weight.

If you do fail to follow the plan all day but get straight back on track the following day, you should be proud that you are in control. We all have bad days, but the trick is not to let that turn into a bad week then a bad month etc etc.

I ask my members, if you were given a bunch of flowers and one of them died, would you throw away the entire bunch? Of course you wouldn't, so why let one bad day undo all your good work?

I have just rung SW and have been told they no longer sell books over the phone and that I have to go along to a meeting. :(

They aren't taking into account the people who can't attend meetings for whatever reason and I think this is just going to make people buy from Ebay instead.

I'm sorry to have given you duff information :( I was told by someone from SW just this week that books can be bought from this number, so I've written an email asking for clarification. Will let you know what they say.

Meanwhile, what books did you want? Perhaps I can help!

Thanks for your reply, consultant. The lady on the phone said they had only stopped selling books over the phone 2 weeks ago.

I was after the Extra Easy cookbook. Theres one on Ebay at £8 so far and one on a Buy it Now for £12. Its £4.95 from SW!!! I really think SW are helping people to make money on Ebay by doing this.

Hi Kandi and Olly - I'm a returner too - hoping to get the confidence to go back to class this week as its the only thing that keeps me on the straight & narrow. Though a bit worried as I will have to do pretty much all red days and I always struggled on them.

beachbeth - what's ina EE cookbook? Surely it's just normal receipes like beef chilli & rice, shepherd's/cottage pie and other things that mix red & green? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious!

    C xx
  • Welcome Kandi and Olly (I LOVE your upbeat attitude Olly - I'll need you around on weigh in days!! :0PP)

skint-catt, I wanted to do the EE plan and thought the cookbook would help. I don't know if its just the same recipes that are in the other cookbooks?
  • Well done to everyone who has lost and chin up to those who haven't.

2nd weigh in last night - lost 3lbs! Total 7½lbs! I'm well chuffed!
Really getting my head round this now, been doing EE for 2 weeks so am sticking to it.
Thanks for the support I've had when I've asked :-)

  • Beachbeth - The EE cookbook is my bible! Hopefully you can get hold of one because i recommend it. It has lots of traditional stuff like chilli con carne and cottage pie but theres lots of others. My favourite is the bacon and butternut squash risotto. I had the haddock and pea risotto a few weeks ago and it tasted like chicken pot noodle lol.
