Hi, I joined slimming world last night. Not got my head together with regards to the foods and didn't have much in at home. Have had weetabix & milk for break - 1 HEA and 1 HEB. Tea will be jacket potato and baked beans (I'm doing green, by the way). I've had bananas and grapes as snacks but was very stuck for my lunch as I'm at work. I got a Tesco Light Choice tuna & sweetcorn sandwich. This is 14½ sins. Could I deduct any sins if I use the bread as my 2nd HEB?
Will be more on track tomorrow.
Thanks in advance for your help
    Taffy

you can deduct 6 syns if the bread was wholemeal - hth :)
    Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j
  • Last night I baked quorn fillets in chopped tin toms (in garlic) with chopped onion and mushroom I also added a few spices and topped with cheese. I ate this with roasted pots yum yum I enjoyed it so much I though Id recommend it you guys.
  • thanks - I already have the pregnancy/breastfeeding booklet as I am still breastfeeding my 1yo. I will mention the pregnancy to my consultant soon, just need to get my head round it first! (was hoping to get to target before considering anymore babies)

where I lived before the mw wouldn't sign my sw consent form cos she said she didnt want to be responsible if I decided to be stupid and crash diet so I had to stop going to group  hopefully the mw here will be more sensible

It might be an idea to take your FO book with you when you see the midwife so she can see that food optimising is light years away from a crash diet. In fact it is endorsed by hundreds of doctor's surgeries up and down the country now.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    I've lost 4lbs this week, meaning I've lost 1.5 stone in 4 weeks! :D

I realise it will probably slow down from now as I have 2.5 stone left to lose and it does slow down as you get used to it, but I am really pleased. I have been very good so am pleased my hard work is paying off. I haven't been very good with the exercise this week though, as I have been feeling so tired (DD teething, and waking up v. early!) but have managed to be a bit more active in everyday activity ie 'active cleaning' and running upstairs rather than walking etc.. Next week I really must get back on it, as I need to get it established into my routine to ensure longevity.

Well done all you other 'losers' :D

Fern - that is a brilliant loss. Even if it does slow down a bit, you are well on the way now. Just think how well you'll do if you get some more exercise in, too.

Excellent, wish I could lose like that!!

Thanks Inazuma, feeling really pleased with myself for actually sticking to it. I am a bit daunted TBH though, as I feel as though the losing is the 'easy' bit and I worry about maintaining it- as I can only stick to it by writing EVERYthing down, will I have to do this forever lol! :D

I only do green days so that makes it a bit 'easier' in my mind- less to remember :) and I don't drink now either so less syns to worry about (last time I did it, I regularly drank and this was my downfall TBH)

Yes, I agree; I'm sure if you go to a class the consultant there will tell you how to maintain tho'. You perhaps just have to have another HE or something. I am just plodding on my own with my books from a couple of years ago so don't know what I'll do when I get to my happy weight - maybe someone here can help. Interesting you say you don't drink now; I gave up in April. My last attempts at SW failed because I was kidding myself that a bottle of wine a night didn't really count... I was strict on myself with syns and HEs but I could not resist that bottle in the evening. I think I was on the way to a real problem with it, so I'm so happy to have got out of that.

Good luck anyway, keep us posted of how it goes!!

Just wondering if anyone knows how many syns in a pot noodle curry flavour? I have searched syns online and can not find them listed.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • I've got flu and really want to pig out  dp will be ordering his weekly chinese tonight, i dont know if i can stop myself, really want a loss this week though, only 3 pound to go to get my stone. I'm already dissapointed in myself and i havent had it yet!!
