    Congratulations :T

Are you feeling queasy in the morning or later? I was going to suggest something with fresh ginger in it? That used to help me a bit. I also used to eat little and often, mostly dry toast and crackers. Im not sure, but can you not have extra healthy extras while pregnant or is only after the baby? Maybe you should just stick to what you feel like at eh moment. And for the rest of the family maybe one day/evening your feeling not too bad you could bulk cook some meals so all you have to do is defrost them, at least you wont have to spend as much time witht eh cooking smells that way.
    Hope you feel better soon
umm has anyone got any tips for following SW with morning sickness? :o I just found out I'm expecting again and am feeling really queasy. The smell of cooking turns my stomach and as DH works shifts there's noone else around to the cooking for the family. Also I'm really struggling to find any food that I fancy eating - just want to eat toast, cereal and biscuits which obviously doesn't work well with SW LOL

    thanks :D

Hiya, I'm suffering too but i'm finding it easier to do red or green days then I can have 2 lots of toast or toast and cereal. Also if I have a biscuit (a rich tea is 2 syns) before I start cooking then I find I don't feel quite as sick :o

    Hope that helps

  • Hi there

I have dug out all the info from the meetings & will hopefully be able to go along & re-join within the next couple of weeks, can someone just refresh my memory though is extra lean mince free on EE ?

    thanks
    BB

Yes you can freely use the extra lean mince - it's syn free on the Original plan and therefore syn-free on EE.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • thanks for your suggestions - I'm feeling queasy mainly in the mornings but it also comes on when I smell food cooking etc or if I let myself get hungry

I'm going to give your ideas a go moosmummy and see if that helps cos I've really been struggling to stick to plan this week

Really want to stay on track with SW during the pregnancy, I've lost 3st but still have about another 3st to lose to get into my healthy weight range. Just hope the mws will be happy for me to carry on going and losing weight when I get registered with them

    Hi everyone,

I've lost half a pound this week, which I know is better than nothing but I'm a bit disappointed. I've been eating so many speed and super speed foods this week that I feel like they are coming out of my ears!!

The only things I can think of that would have affected it was that I didn't have enough syns some days, and that my contraceptive pill pack is almost finished. I know with a normal period it sometimes affects women the week before, weight-wise. Is it the same with a pill break period?! Sorry if thats a silly question, never had to think about it before :o

Will stick with the S and SS foods and see what happens next week!

Try to think about your weight loss over 4 weeks rather than 1. Our bodies play tricks sometimes and hold extra water for no reason.

As for the pill break, I have to be honest and say I've never thought about it either, but since you are going to bleed then it's fair to assume that the blood will weigh something until you've shed it.

I'm sure you'll see the results of all those SS foods next week :)

If you go to group, ask your Consultant for a form to take along to your midwife so that she can monitor your progress. There is a booklet about pregnancy and SW you can get from group.

Food Optimising is very healthy and perfect for the pregnant Mum. My daughter actually lost almost 2 stone during the first and second trimester and only gained 18 pounds overall before having a perfectly healthy baby boy.

Once baby has arrived there are rules to follow if you're breast-feeding, which again your Consultant can help with.

  • Hi, I joined slimming world last night. Not got my head together with regards to the foods and didn't have much in at home. Have had weetabix & milk for break - 1 HEA and 1 HEB. Tea will be jacket potato and baked beans (I'm doing green, by the way). I've had bananas and grapes as snacks but was very stuck for my lunch as I'm at work. I got a Tesco Light Choice tuna & sweetcorn sandwich. This is 14½ sins. Could I deduct any sins if I use the bread as my 2nd HEB?
Will be more on track tomorrow.
Thanks in advance for your help

thanks - I already have the pregnancy/breastfeeding booklet as I am still breastfeeding my 1yo. I will mention the pregnancy to my consultant soon, just need to get my head round it first! (was hoping to get to target before considering anymore babies)

where I lived before the mw wouldn't sign my sw consent form cos she said she didnt want to be responsible if I decided to be stupid and crash diet so I had to stop going to group  hopefully the mw here will be more sensible
