Thanks, I'm not on medication for my BP and have never have been. Whilst my BP has been noted as being a bit high for my age my doctor has never said I need to take anything for it and the best thing is to lose weight. I'm hoping a chat with them will convince them to refer me to the gym so I can lose those poundsThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

And if i snack in between, does it have to be superfree foods? if not, and i am allowed 'red' green' snacks, do i have to have a third superfree foods too? also at meals, do i have to have both original and green choices to make the meal plan exta easy? or can i change occaisionally? sorry so many questions and hope that i make sense..
Sorry not to answer before, I've been away for the weekend.
You don't have to have a third original and a third green, these can be in any proportion to suit you.
You can use your syns to snack if you want to, though I've found that if you have a substantial meal, the snacking can be cut out altogether. If you do find you want to snack, as with any plan it's best if you snack on superfree foods (this obviously gives the very best weight loss).
In order to make the meal Extra Easy, you have red and green foods on the same plate, but if you don't want to do that, you can just have a green day or a red day.
You can mix the days around to suit yourself, for instance you may like to have 1 EE day followed by 1 Green day followed by one Red day throughout the week.
Slimming World is very versatile and your wants and needs are mostly catered for (unless you want 100% chocolate days lol).
As for your other question about what people have for meals on EE - there's a 7 day menu on the SW web page which I think you can access even if you're not a member.
Hope that helps.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
'Avoid chilled water as it deposits the fats present in our body.' ....myth or fact????Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0

I've always been told that chilled water makes you burn calories because your body has to correct it's temperature after drinking it!0

I thought this also, thats why I always drink from a jug form the fridge or even with ice cubes, then I eat the ice cubes after. I know that a cup of warm water with lemon is meant to get you going in the morning, I assumed it was just the citric acid in the water though that gets your metabolism going.Skint_Catt wrote: »I've always been told that chilled water makes you burn calories because your body has to correct it's temperature after drinking it!:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

I think I did read something somewhere (not sure of accuracy- prob just on the internet lol) that drinking cold water at the same time as an oily/ fatty meal can make the fat harden and take longer to go through your system thus meaning you absorb more.
BUT I thought our bodies are warm inside so surely the body will maintain a core temp that will mean fat is processed anyway? I also read that drinking really hot tea ie no milk hot, gives you throat cancer so we can't win!
I only drink room temp water and I drink about 5-6 pints a day and I'm not changing that as I couldn't drink warm water, or really cold.0 -
My Mum is always going on about drinking things that are too hot will give you throat cancer too. Not too sure about this but I guess burn's aren't gonna do you much good!0

Hi everybody
I just joined Slimming World last night and really excited to get started.
Hubbie and I are going shopping tonight to stock up on some FREE food.
Just wondering if somebodies got some advice for me, please?
I tend to get headaches from sweeteners and I really do like my sweet coffee. Is there maybe somebody out there that has got a similar issue and what product do you use if there is an alternative instead of using sugar (I'm trying not to use any unneccessary SYNS). I also know I can't eat Mullerlight, which is really annoying since that would have been a real treat. Is there maybe a different yoghurt that is also SYN FREE or any ideas that might be helpful.
Hope somebody can help.
Good luck also to everybody out there.
