Thanks for your reply consultant31:A I remember seeing something that looked like rye bread at my meeting, maybe that was the scan bran? I'll pick some up next week to try anyway.
I'm on day 2 and so far so good. I feel like i am eating loads, but i'm getting hungry quite a bit which is strange as i'm definitely eating more than usual, albeit healthier options. Yesterday was a green day and i had:
B:Hi Fi Bar (HEB), Apple
S: muller light
L: savoury rice
S: apple
D:Lots of pasta with some mince(HEB), onions, passata, garlic, mushrooms and courgette and 28g cheese(HEA)
I also had a take away cappaucino made with skimmed milk(so used up another HEA). I planned to use some syns as a treat but had an awful headache and lost me appetite so didn't bother.
Today's menu (green day) has been:
B: porridge oats(5 syns) with muller light
S: cappaucino made with skimmed milk (from HEA)
L: wholemeal roll(HEB) with 28g cheese(HEA), cucumber, tomato and tiny bit of spread (1 or 2 syns?)
S: savoury rice, applepasta with lots of free veg, some bacon (HEB) and 2 tablespoons LF creme fraiche (3 syns)
S: muller light
I did plan to use a HE for my porridge oats but i've decided i want to have a little bit of bacon with my dinner so i'll just syn them instead. I plan to try making the pudding rice with a muller light for breakfast on my next green day, as it would free up either some syns or a HE depending on what way i count the porridge.
Does all that sound ok? I'm just so worried that i haven't quite got the hang of it and am doing something horribly wrong:o x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

However, you are right in thinking the Muller is free. Only the ones with a layer under (in the chocolate range) have syns.
I bought a multi pack of the chocolate ones in tesco yesterday (pack of 6 was £2.90, on offer for 2 for £3:D I checked online today though and the offer has changed to 2 for £5:mad:). The vanilla and orange ones were free, but the black cherry ones had 2 syns each i think. They'll be eaten by my OH so no great loss really. It's a bit annoying though as i love the chocolate orange ones and my tesco don't sell them individually:rolleyes::starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Well it was holiday last week. We did really well and made rice and stuff for lunch and snacks and then ate out at night. Had a few beers and a few treats and even managed a curry last friday and since last weigh in two weeks ago i lost 5lb and nikki lost 2lb.
Cant figure it. Except for that i work in an office and last week we did lots of walking on the beach and stuff.
Anyways between us we have lost approx 50lb in 3.5 months so we are happy people ;0)

Hello, may I join you all?
I've been ping ponging around between 12 - 13 stone for over a year and really finding it tough with the kids off for summer holidays (not being able to get to the gym etc - off peak membership, too much baking 8) ) was planning to get serious with myself when they are back at school but on the off chance decided to join slimming world last week thinking at least i'd have time to get my head sorted ready to start.
First weigh in tonight:
6.5lb off0 -
Hiya all , been so busy with work this week!
Unforuantly and amazingily i GAINED 2.5lbs this week , almost cried whilst stood on the scales!
I expected to lose at least a lb or at least stay the same.
but the last 3-4 days all i can eat is soft foods , so ive opted for things like mash beans and yoghurt and used my syns on the frubes squeezy food yoghurt which are 1 syn each.
the reason for the soft food is because i have a infection in my glands , throat , jaw and ear! xx
So today im back being strict , had EE day but want to do at least 2 red days a week now as i think im eating to many carbs! my mum has just been diagnosed with bordaline diabettes (diet induced) so she is following it better with me! x
hope ur all ok xNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

Hi,
I am into my first week of slimming world, have done it before, but not the extra easy...and it really does seam too easy..does anyone know if I am doing it righ?
Today I had: BF: Grilled bacon, poached eggs(2), crilled mushrooms and toms
Lunch: Jacket potato (big), tin of beans and laughing cow light (A HE)
Dinner: Jacket potato, tuna, ham , and salad with Helmens extra light (2 sins)
Also had a bit of milk in tea (2 sins), lots of fruit. A pack of walkers fries (4 sins)
I would not normaly have two Jackets in a day, as it gets borring, but had to work late, and had one in fridge ready, so had that before my head dissapeared in the buiscuit tin!!0 -

Fabtastic first week's loss mum26!! Well done:j V inspiring - especially as I can totally empathise with the 'ping ponging' between 12-13 stone (I love that phrase;))Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
