Morning everyone - lost 4lb at WI last night - which off set the 3lb I put on the week before due to the holiday. Rather pleased with that.
Something that came up last night was that one of the ladies who had stayed the same for weks thought fruit juice was free - when of course it is synned. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone else didn't realise.
Also you can grate the laughing cow triangles if you freeze them first. Not a fan myself so not tried this.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

It's not on the list for HEAs so shouldn't really be used as one. Depending on which one you mean, it's quite low in syns so if I were you I'd syn it. The mature cheese is 4 syns per 28gms, the white and Mozzerella are 4½ syns per 28gms and the slices are all 3 syns each.

Hello everybody
Hope you don't mind me joining you on this thread.
Have just come back from holiday and seriously need to lose about 2 stone (didn't put it all on in my fortnight's holiday ). Having dabbled with WW over the past year or so without much success I have decided to give SW a go.
I can't start classes until September but want to get into the habit now so have downloaded the 'original' sample menu from the SW website. I just have a couple of questions if you don't mind:-
1) It says on the plan between 5 and 15 syns per day - how do I know
how many I should have ?
2) Is there a list of syn values available online or do I have to get that
from a class?
3) My DD (aged just 16) wants to do this with me - do you know if she
qualifies for the 'free' child place if she accompanies me at class?
4) There is so much food on the list, how do you manage to fit it all in in
one day
And other information you think may be helpful would be gratefully received
Thanks0 -

Sorry if I sound dim but I am a big big cheese lover so I want to make sure Ive got this right. Are you saying that its syn full because its Mature cheese and thats not on the HE list where as something like edam is on the HE list? Because I was just thinking this Kerry low low was reduced fat cheddar and hoping I could have 42g and not 28g ;@)
Thanks for your help by the way :A0 -
I just tried the Weight Watchers sausages, half a syn each (red & easy) & not bad if I say so myself & I AM fussy about sausages.
They are 2 packs for £4 in Tesco at the mo:j:j:money:0 -
No you're not dim, it's just that as a SW Consultant, I have to follow the rules as far as HEs are concerned. I understand that you might have expected to be able to have it as a HE but since it's not listed (yet) I would stick with what is and keep this as an extra you could syn if you wanted more.
You can have 42gms of many of the low fat cheeses, including Feta and Mozzarella, so it could be that the Low Low is included, it's just not listed yet. Does it tell you anywhere how many calories it has and the % of calcium. SW base the HEs on the amount of calcium for the As and the fibre in the Bs.
By the way, are you aware that you can have cheese as a HEB as well on the Green and EE plan? So, in theory, you could have all 4 of your HEs (on the Green plan) as cheese - you'll be growing whiskers and a tail nextI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
