    100% fat free greek yoghurt
add rasberries and blueberries and strawberries and a spoonful of sweetner , lovely refreshingly sweet dessert! :) x

just enjoyed a apple and a bananna , and i am finding it helpful to keep coming back to this thread reading through and writing what im eating lol , sorry if its annoying anyone! :) x

No it's not annoying junior J that is what it is for, to keep us on on track! I have had a pretty good day today: Banana for breakfast, then grilled breakfast for lunch with toms, mushrooms, beans and a veggie sausage, and for dinner jacket potato with beans and salad as DH as it's too hot for a proper sunday dinner! :D

All free so means I can have a couple of bourbons later! Yummy yum!

When I start to get that empty feeling I drink a pint of water, then if still feel hungry after 10 mins then eat a piece of fruit, I'm finding this is really helping me to re-learn the difference between thirst and hunger as I have probs with that!

  • I drink litres of water a day, as i stops me feeling hungry, especially at work it can sometime be the difference between taking my lunch at 12 and managing to get to 1, before having dinner - which makes all the difference to the afternoon as it goes a lot quicker.

Vicky - its good to here from you
Junior J - keep up the posting as it give us all ideas and i'm probably not the only one who has just copied your recipe down.

  • Hi everyone, thanks for all your stories and advice. I've put on a good few pounds recently....stress I think. Normally my weight hovers around the 11stone mark and even when there are little fluctuations, it returns to the 11 stone mark, but of late it's been creeping closer to 12 and for some reason, it seems to be staying there! So.....I think I'll take matters into my own hands and am going to go to my first slimming world meeting on Wednesday night. I could probably do with getting well under the 11 stone mark anyway! Your stories and support has inspired me already. Also, rather than just get off the recent pounds, I'm going to stay to get down to 10 stone 4lbs. I think that, at 5'6 inches, this would be a very healthy weight for me and I would feel less self concious about my figure.
I recently saw an old friend out and she has been on a diet (I think she said slimming world) and she looks great....better than ever, even when we were teenagers at school (she was quite heavy then too). I could just imagine, looking at her, the new lease of life she must have now!
So....here goes! Thanks to all of you still reading and thanks in advance for the helping hand I just know that the forum will be with regard to keeping my on track and motivated!
It must be one of the great advantages of the age we live in, to be able to share and chat with people when it comes to things we don't necessarily want to bore our nearest and dearest with!
I'll report back after Wednesday's meeting with my weight:mad::eek:

  • Well, its week 2 for me, i have all my meals planned and have been shopping for most of my meal but will need to pop to the shops to stock up on a few thing.
I'm feeling rather positive about this week again, had a good lose in week 1, but its not just that, its like something has clicked, and its like right, theres no here goes nothing attitiude that i have had before, its not a case of i'll get there eventually, I AM GOING TO DO THIS! I just know it something is different this time round, im ready up and running.
I think its all about the organisation, i'm so perpared i'm shocked with myself.

I have a night out on Thursday and instead of worrying about and thinking I either enjoy myself (by going completely over the top) or don't really want to be there (and try to scrimp and really watch the syns). I will enjoy myself but i will be sensible, i am using flexi syns so a can have a few gins and food but I am also planning in 2 hard work outs on wednesday and friday night to try and burn the night out off.
My atitude this time round is completely different, Life doesn't have to stop just because i'm on a diet. The diet becomes apart of life.

Well thats enough from me but i just thought i would share.

Hope you all have a good day.

junior-j Just an idea but have you done your measurements? I didn't do mine and I regret it now. The weeks when I have only lost a pound or stay the same it would have helped to keep me on track.
