Just popped in to say that I was in Tesco and they are doing 2 x packs of 6 mullerlites for £3
Thats 12 for £3
My fridge is now full:DBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I could really do with some help...
I've been doing Slimming World for a couple of months now, I 've done it previously
I'm really struggling to think of things to eat and so I end up eating toast, chocolate or crisps!!
I'm doing EE and find it great, I'm just struggling with a lack of meal ideas.
Especially lunch...
So, what do you guys eat??
I feed my family what I eat, I want to keep it pretty frugal and I don't want it to be too tricky or time consuming to make.
I like fruit and a muller light for breakfast and then bacon on a saturday
Lunches.....really struggling with this one.
Tea...another one where I could do with a bit of inspiration.
When I look at people food diaries on different sites they often have a list of foods but not a menu.
Hoping you can give me a kickstart!!
The best thing to do is to get the SW magazine. They have loads of lovely recipes and always have a 7 day plan using many store-cupboard foods so you don't have to go out and buy loads of odd bits.
There's a thread on here with lots of recipes http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=1948340&postcount=3
and another one here

You do need to build up a list of quick, easy and tasty meals that you can knock up without too much trouble or it can be very tempting to fall back on the chippy!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi everyone!
I'm Jo and I am after some advice
Bascally I usually follow weightwatchers, have done for quite a while and lost 31lb so far this year. Now things are tight money-wise I am curious as to if Slimming World would work out cheaper for me.
Usually I will make something for my DS around 5pm, then something for myself around 7.30pm and then my OH will have something when he gets in around 8.30pm (either whatever DS has had or I have had) I usually also buy the W.W. brand things such as biscuits, yoghurts and sometimes bread - although I am more than happy to go without the bread and biscuits!!
My usual diet goes something like this....
Bran flakes for breakfast (with semi skimmed milk, can't stomach skimmed unless in porridge!)
Soup for lunch
Whatever we've got for dinner - sometimes I will have a ready meal (a W.W one or supermarket lower fat), usually I will cook even if its just some pasta with some extra low fat philli thrown in lol.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some frugal slimming world recipes? Preferably ones I can freeze
I really want to lose another 28lb by Christmas. Is it ok if I join?
Thanks in advance for any advice!! Xxx0 -
One of the heb choices is 1 shredded wheat and 1 ryvita breaks. I can't find ryvita breaks anywhere. Is there anything I could replace it with. I have ryvita fruit crunch if that's any good.0
-
Ryvita breaks are the ones in packets that you eat as a snack so not sure what they could be replaced with to be honest
Maybe an Alpen lite bar?
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hmmm - I've put on 2.5lbs. Now I know I had a big weekend, but I have stuck to the plan 100% for 6 days since, so I would have expected a STS if anything.
Also I feel a bit slimmer and certainly dont feel 2.5lbs more. Do you think its the wine and g&t's at the weekend catching up with me?
Am also on antibiotics this week, could this affect it?
Well anyway, I am planning a quiet weekend this weekend, so should be ok to stick to the plan.
Hmmm, must stay focussed and not distracted by gain.

Could someone please look up the syns for
Dr Oetker - No Bake Rocky Road Clusters Mix
Thank you!
(if they aren't on syns online, the nutritional info is here - http://www.oetker.co.uk/oetker_uk/html/default/debi-7qjep2.en.html )

I always tell my members that no matter how hard you try, there will always be weeks when you don't reap the reward of pounds lost on the scales, BUT on those weeks, you will almost certainly see a difference in inches.
For those who don't currently measure themselves - it really is a good idea, perhaps once a month, to slip the tape measure round those all important places so you can actually see the inches disappearing.
Antibiotics won't make a difference in themselves as long as feeling better hasn't led you to eat more of the wrong things!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

You would certainly get more to eat with Slimming World. My average daily diet includes, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms for breakfast with bacon as a HEB. Jacket potato with a tin of baked beans and a salad for lunch with Slimming World chips, fish (HEB and fried with Frylight) and mushy peas for dinner. I also have milk and cheese as an allowance through the day.
I've found that WW foods often contain large amounts of sugar or fat and there's never enough to fill me up. You can make your own ready meals much cheaper by batch cooking and freezing the left-overs. SW promote the entire family eating the same normal, nutritious meals.
I would recommend that you get a SW magazine and have a look through it. Also there is a free trial menu on the website which you can access at
