Really not in a SW place these last few weeks. I've stopped doing the Mystery Shopping as I dont think that was helping my mindset in all honesty as I was eating out nearly 2 days a week and I cant really afford to wait for the refunds. I am lucky in that I have STS for 5 weeks in a row and goes to show me that if I was 100% I would easily be losing weight. I'm still going to class though and I am sure at some point I will click back into it, but its hard to not give myself a really hard time about it while I wait!

I did discover a new sort of breakfast in addition to Marions Rice which I thought I would mention, although this one is not free. I have been taking 15g of Puffed Wheat (2.5 to 3 syns depending on brand) which is actually a decent bowlful and then mixing it with a muller to save my HEA on EE.

    Today I have planned

    B - Puffed Wheat (2.5) Muller (Free)
L - Wholemeal Roll (HEB) with Egg Mayo(Free) and Ham (Free) Banana (Free)
D - Pork Steaks (Free) Boiled Potatos (Free) Large portion Mixed Veggies (Free)
Drinks - Tea, Water, Diet soda
    Others - Skimmed Milk (HEA)

Finally got my meal plan sorted for today! having a GREEN Day!

    HEA 250 ml ss milk
    B: cup of tea & a banana
Snack: a packet of aldi cheese curls (3 & half syns) cup of tea
L: low fat super noodles, thai sweet chilli with stir fryed veg (was half a pack of fresh stir fry veg from morrisons) diet coke
D: chicken (HEB) tikka marsala sauce from sw website & boiled rice
meringue nest (3 syns) with raspberries & vanilla mullerlite.

I might have 28g of crunchy oatbakes for my 2nd HEB with a cuppa later as they are like eating biscuits!

Do you think this sounds ok? I still can`t get my head round eating all this food & loosing weight, we shall see tomorrow at 1st weigh in lol!! x

Afternoon everyone - well I put on a pound today at WI - and honestly, after the fortnight I've had I think I did quite well. As I said the other day it IS just a number on a scale - and I have a bit more time to myself this week to re-focus and MAKE SURE THERE IS GOOD FOOD IN THE HOUSE. Its just been so manic with work/home etc recently - ANYWAY excuses over - my plan is to lose the pound and a bit extra next week - 1.5 would be good, 2 even better - so watch this space;)

  • As I understand olives are always 7 for 1 syn.

(but ... did you know that you can have 28g houmous / 57g reduced fat houmous as a B choice?)

Just checking, but are you eating enough to satisfy your appetite? ... I think your lunch would leave me hungry, and if you are following EE of course you could add a baked spud or pasta or rice etc ....

The salad, is usually a HUGE mountain of salad.. but today I did actually also have a jacket spud (though I coudlnt fit the whole thing in), you read my mind!

Going to a group once to get the books - - Whats the dealio with this?

Are you allowed to just go to one class to get the books and that? I'd feel really bad only going once, like I was letting people down or something, (I could justify going once to get the books, but I definitely cant fit every week into my budget) but if people do do it then maybe I could, I know Id really benefit from having the books in. Whats everyones opinion on this??

today, FINALLY I get to do a food shop! today WOO - What are your Essential Buys that get you through the week slimmers??

How much weight you lose is really dependent on you and how you lose....... July 11th is a good 3.5mths away so i would say you could lose at least a stone if you follow the plan - but more is possible! Better to think in dress sizes. I reckon you could be a size 16 by july 11th, possibly a 14.............

Size 16 or even 14:j :j :j :j I haven't been that for more than 15 years! (I just had to check in my 'old' wardrobe to check the size of a blouse)

I'm up for this if I could really do that - dress size is a good way to think about it.

I've just come back from the dentist so can't do my usual snacking whilst I make the tea so that's a good start.

I shall do a proper weigh tonight and add it to my sig. I've just found a few local groups.

If join one and don't like it can I move to another without joining again? Sorry if that sounds a bit negative, I just want to check

    Thank you
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......

I'm afraid I have not kept up with the thread and am struggling to get used to a new diet but I am sure I will get used to it.
Went on a school trip toda and my SW leader is a teaching assisstant in DD's class ao she was on the trip as well, so no sneaky chips for me!!! Instead, I took some pasta and chicken with low fat salad cream and it was delicious.
Off out now but will pop back in later.......
Thank you for the welcome and I will try better to keep up with the thread..

Glad you aren't going hungry :D

You pay a joining fee and a class fee on your first week. Obviously, by not returning, you are not giving the consultant any wage, but neither are you getting her support. In an ideal world, you would join and stay - the support from a class is great, but if you really can't afford it, then following the plan at home is the next best thing.

IMHO it is better to do this, and give some money to a consultant than buy the books from ebay at an inflated price, with no money going to SW.

essentials will differ from person to person, but above and beyone 'potatoes, rice pasta etc etc' I would make a beeline for chicken and beef bovril stock in jars, frylight spray and sweetner. 0% greek yog (if you can afford it) and muler lights.

Ooh, talk about having a spy in the camp :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Looby-Loo, once you're a member, you can go to any group, anywhere in the country as long as you take your book with you as proof you're a member.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • I'm thinking about trying SW. I won't go to the meetings as I cannot afford it but will buy all the books from ebay etc.

What I want to know though is whether it works on people who only need to lose a bit of weight. I need to lose about a stone as I am 5'1" and weigh 9 stone. Will it work on me? I have tried a few other diets but none seem to shift this baby weight and I had my baby almost 2 years ago!

    Thanks
