Does anyone know what it means by 'strain the mixture'? Sorry - I'm not much of a cook!

I would of thought it means to pour the mixture through a sieve. x
  • Boiled rice on red day -

28g (dry weight) then cooked = 5 syns
    28g boiled rice = 2 syns

you shouldn't have to - but sometimes when you add eggs to warm milk, despite beating/whisking you can still get some 'scrambled eggy' bits. You don't want these in a custard, so pour it through a seive.

Either limit (weigh) your chicken, and have this as a green day with 1 or 2 HB of meat, oR follow EE for the day and you can have unlimited amounts of both, but you will have to check the rest of your day's food for HE's.

i will do as you suggested & have a green day, the extra easy plan sounds good, but i just started sw last week (1st weigh in tomorrow!) & the consultant said she just wanted us (the new ones) to get a grip with the red & green days first, so hopefully will try the extra easy soon! x

Hi Mina, I've just noticed you were your groups 'greatest loser'. SNAP I was for our group too. I've mixed feelings about it all really, don't get me wrong I'm really proud of what I've achieved but at the same time I'm ashamed that I'd let things get sooo bad before I did anything about it. I tend to just muddle along with things and I do get a bit embarrassed when our consultant kind of holds me up as some kind of paragon of virtue or outstanding example to the others, I just cringe and smile!!

Hey :) Well done!! :) I think I know what you mean about the embarassment. I can't understand why I put off losing weight for so many years. My consultant said it's usually a man who gets Greatest Loser because they often have more to lose(?), which made me feel kinda ashamed of all that weight I'd piled on. But then I'm annoyed with myself for feeling ashamed - we did something about it eventually, right?

My consultant and I don't get on too well... she gets pee-d off with me for challenging the logic of the rules sometimes and pressing her to justify some of the things she says - I actually felt a little bad that I got greatest loser when waves of paranoia convince me she finds me inability to tow the line and just do what she says annoying! It's just a clash of personalities thing.
